After the first flood they found themselves facing the ocean and the raised up Pulton and so built the wall around wanno and the ship to protect it. Demaro Black posing as Kid makes perfect sense because in world Kid disappeared after Kaido defeated and imprisoned him in Udon. Nobody in the outside world knew what happened to the Kid pirates until the battle on Wano ended and Kid got a new bounty among Luffy and Law. Considering that Kid disappered during the Dressrosa arc, he had an higher bounty than Luffy at the time, Luffy's bounty would only surpass his after Dressrosa. Demaro Black is really a genious when it comes to choosing which major disappeared pirate to cosplay as. Tekking, reading this chapter i thought about something, it might be wrong but what if, the weapon that IMU used on Lulusia, instead of actually destroying the island...it just...sank it? kinda like a super gravity weapon, and now it's at the bottom of the ocean, and that's why the whole can't be filled with water, because the water is just being "pushed down". I think zunisha is walking the perimeter of the sunken continent. Mr.miyagi , that goat mink doctor, asked chopper, "zunisha, you have walked 1000 years, where exactly are you going ". Maybe he is circling the ancient kingdom, this makes sense of how zunisha is able to walk on the ocean floor, but maybe the ocean floor is way deeper, zunisha is just walking on the sunken continent.

Well, Waterworld is also Post-Apo, although sorta opposite to Mad Max in setting, cause instead of a desert we have a world that flooded after ice caps melted (from what I remember). I dunno if that was the theme Oda had in mind since begining that's tied to the end panel of the manga he famously started drawing in mind with... I would assume so. He probably intended this world to be submerged from the start. Recently One Piece theorists here on Y-tube mentioned Impel Down. It was probably ground-level in the past, looks like some castle from the outside. Probably from the Great Kingdom.

@Tekking my theory on Wano layout compared to back in the Void Century is that the were originally at ground level and when they saw the sea level rising. They built the walls to keep out the water and as the sea level rise higher after the aincient weapon was used. They kept on adding to walls till they were high as mountain. However as they explain in WANO ARC, the rain eventually filled up WANO which still caused their country to flood and be where it is now. So my theory explained why WANO has such high walls cause they could keep building as the waters rise 1 meter at a time. Their planned to keep original WANO from flooding failed because they never account for where the rain water would go or somebody forced Zunesha to flood WANO after JoyBoy lost the war as it is clear WANO sided with Joy Boy.

I find it amazing how in this same arc just a few months ago people were in awe at how powerful and menacing Saturn was. Then for a while he just kind of became a punching bag, to the point where he was getting overwhelmed by luffy even with Kizarus help. Then he summoned the rest of the Gorosei and he’s just kind of been there ever since. Still somewhat threatening but pretty far from the only thing going on and definitely not the guy to beat. It’s kind of shocking how for 25 years the Gorosei were presented as a singular unit with unknown capabilities, to the point where people didn’t even think they were fighters. Then for a few months one of them was suddenly spotlighted away from the rest and became the star of the show, only for him to be reabsorbed back into the singular entity of the group as a whole who are finally getting to show what they’re about.

One thing to note, the hole in the ocean in ennies lobbie, is basically a sinkhole for all the ocean, but it doesn't seem to be lowering the ocean level, and its also the island where pirates get judged, maybe that holds more significance now that we know that joyboy was the first pirate. Maybe ennies lobbie is proof that there is something going on the world that keeps the ocean level rising.

It is hard to keep track of the speech because Vegapunk is jumping from one concept to another and there is a break between each chapter but I think the identity of the One Piece is hidden somewhere in all the info dump. My theory is that One Piece is the fuel source of the ancient kingdom. It is the missing piece of the puzzle and it can be used to defeat Imu. For this happen, someone has to use it, thus, finding One Piece is not a magical solution to everything. By reproducing the technology of the past and destroying the red line, the ancient kingdom is recreated but the impact of the Void Century will remain. What has been sunk can not be brought back, the world will have to change for the better.

butterflyes are gennerally a symbol of death and rebirth, sometimes being seen as guides to the spirits of the dead BUT, as we see in elden ring, sometimes butterflies can be seen as harbringers of rot and decay. Overall, stong life and death implications. Baybe im wants the world destroyed to then rebuild it from scratch. Maybe he just wants the whole world to become just sea so that life will flourish underwater.
