Oda is such a massive fan of the history of Vikings. It's what led to his fascination of pirates. There is also an old Viking anime that inspired Oda when he wrote One Piece. I think its called Vicky the Vicking and its a story about good Vikings fighting bad Vikings and going on adventures. Vicky's dad and his crew of merry men bear some resemblance to Shanks and his crew.

David Dasmalchian is cast as Mr 3. I have seen him in Oppenheimer, The Dark Knight, Ant Man and Suicide Squad. They also have revealed the casting for other members of Baroque Works and Dorry and Brogy. I don't know any of them but they look good for the part. With season 2, I think they should just focus on alabasta arc. This consists of three sub arcs: Little Garden, Drum Island and Alabasta. However, all of them are long. They also need to include Logue Town and Whiskey Peak as introduction to Grand Line. I say, let episode one be about Loguetown. Then episode 2 be Laboon and Crocus introduction and Whiskey Peak. Episode 3 kicks off the story with Mister 3 and Miss All Sunday. Episode 4-5 will Drum Kingdom arc and 6-8 will be Alabasta.

Why is he a Viking? Why not? Weird laughs are a One Piece thing, Oda likes them. You'll hear more unique laughs as we go. The meat on a bone thing is not real. It's just easier to draw. The thing they have at the One Piece Cafe is not natural. I'd still try it.
