Read the manga you are going to be mindblown, try your best to avoid spoilers, they can take off the weight of some really emotional moments.

Fun fact the live action cover 90% of the first saga of one piece, the east blue saga. This saga is actuly the calmest and most tame saga when compared to what happens next which is why im very excited for season 2 considering how this part of the series got so much hype, i cant wait to see how people react to the alabasta saga.

Next season will get at most to Drum Island or Little Garden, cant see them fitting it all
@ONEPEAKFRFR Жыл бұрын
@DizGaAlcam I think there's gonna be way more than 8 episodes, but some acrs like wisky peak and little garden can be done in a single hour long episode.
@DizGaAlcam Жыл бұрын
@@ONEPEAKFRFR bro we have Loguetown, that's at least a full episode, gotta put Zoro getting the swords and Tashigi interaction, the whole thing with Buggy and Alvida, and the Dragon scenes. Then Reverse Mountain and Whiskey Peak can be another episode. Then at least 2 episodes for Drum Island and all the shenanigans there. And at least 2 episodes for Little Garden, there's a looot that happens there. This makes it 7, so maybe they do Reverse Mountain and Whiskey Peak as full episodes or put a longer focus on Little Garden

Do not worry of the age old trope :- With the power of friendship, they prevailed....oh ho ho...pause. This series does friendship just right.

In the grand scheme of things, especially from season 2 onwards... Just add four more layers/levels to the plot/conflicts to this three tier long term, short term, micro conflicts you've mentioned for season 1. Coz the it scales up in complexity, grandness, world building, depth, characters, relationships, conflicts.... Both in size (width and depth) and no. of levels. And all the multiple levels of plots, conflicts all of which are highly interconnected both vertically as well as in time. Especially, if we consider what's about to come from season 2 onwards, the east blue saga (covered in Season 1) feels almost miniscule in both scale, emotional investment and drama. Though the Nami's Arlong park scene will always be special in the hearts of the one piece fans.

What did you think of Netflix's live-action adaptation of One Piece?

I can't see how they could have made it better, it's a little masterclass in adaptation of a very, very difficult material

It was adapted very well, but the source material is the masterpiece. Everything great about the live action is born from the rich story, characters, and world building of the manga/anime
