Thanks for giving this a look! I’ve been a fan of One Piece for 15+ years, and it’s such a fun ride. I’m so pumped for the show based on this trailer. Hope you guys enjoy the show as much as us longtime fans do!

nice im a huge fan of One Piece but i was extremely worried this wouldnt be good it looks close enough to the source material so i wanted an unbiased opinion from some ppl that dont watch/read it and the reception so far has been good. im starting to get optimistic about this and i was on the fence. there have been very few good live action shows but the fanbase seems to be mostly positive about this. it has a huge budget and Oda the writer of One Piece has a lot of influence over this and it took 7 years to make hopefully its good.

the relation between One Punch Man and One Piece is the same as the relation between Harry Potter and Game of Thrones in that they're both books.

NO. There have been NO anime live adaptations done before. Nope. There have been plenty, but they are all trash with very few exceptions. At this point fans are convinced it’s not possible so there has been a lot of pessimism about this one. But it looks amazing and we are cautiously optimistic this can break the curse. Which would be crazy because due to the crazy art style, settings and powers it Should be the last one that could ever work.
