9:05 Jimbei was already in Big Mom's pirate group; it is why when he lost his Warlord title protecting Fishman Island he instead joined an Emperor's Crew (Big Mom's) because before he was a Warlord Whitebeard was protecting the island with his flag; you gotta have an Emperor backing you in the New World if you want to have your home protected. Remember that's why he told Luffy he couldn't join his crew back at the end of Fishman Island. 12:15 Yes, but they are talking about the upper members of her pirate group. Pekoms, Baron Tamago, or Capone Bege isn't related to Big Mom by blood, just like Jimbei; but serve under Big Mom. Her Pirate group, like any Emperor's except maybe Shanks, is massive!

this one! ^^ This is the reason he couldn't join Luffy's crew. Fishman Island was protected by Big Mom (after Whitebeard died because he protected it before) and she forced them to make her sweets as a sort of tax for her protection, remember? Luffy ate all the sweets in the reserve and told big mom to go f herself on the phone. that was right at the end of the arc.

This established the Sun Pirates as allies of the Big Mom Pirates. It's the same with Bege. He got married to Charlotte Chiffon and so the Firetank Pirates got accepted as the Big Mom Pirates' allies. The same thing is happening now with Sanji. If Vinsmoke Sanji marries Charlotte Pudding, the Germa Kingdom will officially be the Big Mom Pirates' ally. 12:50 At this point we don't know *exactly* what's going on but the atmosphere seems ominous. Like being persecuted all their lives and losing their beloved captain wasn't enough, they had to bow their heads to the madness that is Charlotte LinLin 😢

It's just that Oda-sensei has said that he's not going to involve the StrawHats in romantic relationships, because he doesn't want that to be the focus of the story. The concept of "romance" in the series has another meaning. Like I have explained in one of my earliest comments, "Romance Dawn" is in the meaning of dreams and ideals and how you can live without abandoning them. Every time the word "romance" pops up in the series, it has this meaning. (There might be a better way to explain it 🤔 I hope the native English speakers can help you with this one 😅)

The mentality of being born and grown up in a family like theirs is completely different: You understand what's wrong but you feel powerless to actually do something about it. And it's even more difficult in the case of the Charlotte siblings. Their mother is a Yonko, one of the most powerful people in the world. If they decide to run away, she has enough connections that if she puts her mind in it, she *will* find them. But even if she doesn't, where would they go? The Emperor Big Mom has many enemies everywhere. If they find out they are related to her, they're dead. Not to mention, the world is extremely dangerous and cruel if you are not affiliated with either the World Government or one of the Yonko. This is something that was always a vague notion in the back of our minds but it took shape (and a very brutal one, let me tell you) in the current manga arc. I won't say anything else for now but... none of us were ready for that... Lastly, as you have begun to realise, not everything in the Charlotte family is toxic. Some of the siblings are very close to eachother and support one another. I don't think it would be easy for them to abandon their siblings, especially for the older ones who feel a sense of duty to protect the younger ones (We have seen a similar thing with Ace. He couldn't help but reach out to Luffy when he saw his wanted poster. He wanted to be sure he was okay, even though he was also proud of him) Bottom line, it usually takes something drastic to help you escape from an abusive environment. Let's see if Luffy and the crew will be this drastic change once again.

Since you are already around 10 episodes ahead, let me explain: LinLin with the power of her Soul Soul fruit can extract some or all of a person's lifespan which basically translates to a part of their soul. These small fragments she then puts inside random objects or foods making them animated. It's a similar thing to what Moria did with the shadows. The new people created from this (Homies from the Soul Soul fruit and Zombies from the Shadow Shadow fruit) while they are bound to follow their creators' orders, they have their own personalities, goals and every day life. Personally, Homies and Zombies are all living people in my eyes.

Which is actually a continuation/spin off of the previous Cover Story "Caribou's Kehihihihi in the New World" (manga chapters 674-731) in which Jimbei makes an appearance. Anyway, long story short: While Jimbei is searching for his crew, he stumbles upon Wadatsumi (the giant Monkfish FishMan who was exiled from FishMan Island) and a Poneglyph. Wadatsumi joined the Sun Pirates (a much better fit for his strong but naïve self) and Jimbei gave the Poneglyph to LinLin to appease her after Luffy's sweet eating fiasco at the end of the FishMan Island arc.
