what makes it hit hardest for me is that theyre probably all thinking about how luffy was there for them and even rescued them from the tragedies that befell them, but the one time that something horrible and life shattering happened to him, their captain, saviour and friend, none of them were with him and he was alone to deal with the pain, the weight of that kind of that realization really hits you through the screen as much as it hits them it would seem

Dadan is one *hell* of a mama bear. Impossible not to love her once you see past the crusty surface. I will now curse you with knowledge that you will never unsee, as is a rite of passage for a One Piece fan. Marco's head looks like a pineapple. If Dadan is Luffy's mom, then these past few arcs made Jimbei Luffy's dad. So from this point on, I refer to him as Shark Daddy. He's been more of a father to Luffy in that small amount of time than Dragon has during all of Luffy's life, at least. NGL, I *really* love that animation style for Robin's story. Can't quite tell what it reminds me of, though. The "pirate button" incident always kills me. Just how casually he presses it and him superimposed over the explosion with a big ass grin and a thumbs up. Also I 100% ship Perona and Mihawk. Just because spooky dude and spooky chick.They can have a little "Addams Family" in the spooky castle.
