Out of 2 booster boxes that my local lgs opened for a late prerelease, there where at least 3 gum gum giants. I opened basically one box of packs from what was leftover from the event and got 2 gum gum giants.

Honestly seems more like bad batching than Short Print. Between myself and a friend we opened 4 boxes. Got a BB deck and a half, 3 Beckman, and 7 GG Giant. Like we can play anecdotal evidence all day, but we need at least 15-20 cases to get a real spread. The fact none of the big resellers are noting this as an issue makes me thinks it's not. For my own experience, opening cases of past sets you tend to see 6 to 8 of each SR and 8 to 12 of each R. I think this time the cards are just more wanted than usual so people are noticing the ratio more.

I'm not sure if it's a "short print" issue, but I have bought 2 boxes of every set, and on average you will open play sets of every uncommon and 3 copies of a rare. You will get the odd playset of a rare, but yeah you'll get 1-2 copies of a rare to a box on average. I got 3 giants out of two boxes (and the 4th at prerelease). So yeah you could open 2 boxes and get 2 giants, that's tough. Some rares, and SRs, feel more rare than others...

I got 2 giants out of 12 packs between 2 re-release don’t buy boxes for play sets but boxes for alt arts. You’ll save a lot of money buying singles a month after release

I think good. Create more EV for people to recoup their box costs. Means more likely to buy boxes, LGS's sell more boxes, Bandai sell more boxes. If you're a player, just buy the cards you need which will always be cheaper than cracking boxes.. But allows people who crack boxes to recoup more money instead of heavy L's. As you saw with eb01.. No one wanted to crack boxes because the EV was terrible before cards were being utilised, terrible EV meant no one wanted the boxes which meant LGS's couldn't sell boxes so they ordered less from distributors and Bandai didn't do a big print run based on pre orders they got. Won't be a problem with this set anyway just because of the print run size of the set and amount of people cracking the set to chase ole Roger boy. Will probably even out to being the same supply of the card compared to past sets.

I’ve cracked at least 8 boxes so far, I know for sure I’ve never pulled more than 1 giant per box. Some boxes didn’t even have one. I think I’ve pulled more out of blisters than boxes tho tbh

This happened to me since the starting of the game in OP05, I went to three pre-releases and opened two boxes and I only got three non AA Betty searchers 😂. In OP02 it was the four drop Yamato that had the same issue.

if you want rares try open double packs. I got a bunch opening 5 boxes (16 packs x box). One big thing to point out of the 5 2 had no hits, one had 1 secret luffy and the other were a 3 and a 2 AAs.

Honestly flacko, 10:30; you my mate and I most definitely noticed from home by opening boxes, but you gotta consider it as well that there are 5 mangas in this set, surely that off balances the hits and therefore offsets there rare slots as well ?… I was blessed to open 3 boxes and I hit maybe 5 or 6 gum gum giant . I can recount but I have my Robin Playset and plan to liquid the other two when it blows up. Deters hi I only got 3 so that checks out, I got no bigger hits above AA except the Luffy Alt leader

I opened 4 boxes and only got 3 blackbeard Era cards gum gum for me was pretty decent but not good I got 6 in 4 boxes. For a rare it was kinda sus. Also SR shanks is damn near impossible. My friend bought a case and out of 6 boxes he got only 2 shanks SRs.

Shout out old school yugioh days when Smashing Ground was £10 and rare Cyber Stein was £20+ But yeah I got 2 OP09 booster boxes, plus 2 prereleases and 10 boosters for each for winning them (so 80 booster packs in total) and got 2 Blackbeard searcher event and 2 Gum Gum Giant. Having more of an SR than an R through pack pulls is ridiculous

In one whole case: 6 Sanji 7 Cost Purple SR's 10 shanks (counting 1 alt) 9 beckmans (counting 1 alt) 8-9 10 cost blackbear SR's A metric crap tonne of Adio (Lim 9 Cost SR's) and Buggy 10 cost's (which begs the question... are they in more quantity cause they are crap?) Gum Gum Giants... I'd say 10 for the whole case? Definitely not more. And I'll say, the case we got was pretty good (packed some really nice cards, including a manga rare). But, when we talk about the 'actual usable' cards for a deck... I needed 7 boxes to fully build out my shanks deck. Yeah... Awful
