I too am always calculating how cheap I made my food! 💕. I saw whole chickens randomly for .39/lb (on their last sell by date) got two 6 pound birds for $2 apiece. 3.5 gallons of awesome stock. Have made chicken salad, tamales, chicken and homemade noodles, and still have 3 or more cups of cooked chicken to go. 5 pints of stock canned, some used, and another half gallon in the frig. Wins are wins! HOME ECONOMICS!!!!

Have watched you many years under a different name, and love your videos so much. I left a comment and had to delete it, was asking for prayers for Kneady Homesteader and family but saw that you already posted video concerning the matter. You are one special person as you are so caring and sweet to reach out to others in many ways. Just wanted to say this with a shout out to you. Thank you for being you.

Hi Bev,like you I have fibro and some other autoimmunes.i did notice early on that we cook alot alike.hardly any packaged or processed foods.it doesn't agree with me,makes me worse.love the home ec videos,it's like being at my grandma's house.homecanned goods, leftovers, from 1 make 3,ect.thats how I grew up.unfortunately my hubby is picky.so I have to compromise quite a bit sometimes.

We're part Latino, so pork butt means pernil with rice and pigeon peas (I try to eat low carb/keto to help my weight and triglycerides, but I will make an exception for the rice and gandules). I have even canned the pork in the seasoning

I cook the first meal all the time. I cut my pork loins in pieces like you do; I even use my sister's dutch oven that looks just like yours. I like to cook my carrot, turnip, and potato peels and ends, and give to the dogs for a treat. (No onions for dogs). I loved seeing Sweet Gracie snuggle up to her favourite person, the person with the FOOD! Thank you for this. I look forward to seeing what you do with the rest of your loin. Always looking for good things to do with inexpensive cuts of meat.

Hi from Maine!! I found you as a suggestion in you KZbin feed. Unfortunately it was your emotional video about your husband being in the hospital. So happy he is on the mend and will be back to work soon. So happy to have found your channel... I will be doing some binge watching 🤣😂🤣. I always get more than one meal from a roast - the crockpot is my go to because I work full time . Can’t wait to watch your canning videos. I’m getting back into canning and building my confidence back up. I hope you have a meat canning video- my husband will be going on a moose hunt in Oct. 🤞hoping he gets a moose.

Oh lord Bev 3am and I'm taking a pork roast out of the freezer. I am looking at the cupboards where my snacks are to quench my hunger your videos always incite in me. Thanks for the gift of knowledge you impart to me. I'm going to be able to stretch this roast and not dread leftovers. I haven't had a pork sandwich since I was a kid. I think I am looking forward more to the leftover meals. Much love from Thunder Bay Ontario.
