Could be worse, could have been yellowjackets. Asian giant hornets pretty much leave you alone if you don't blunder into their nests and hornet species are in general pretty chill away from the nest. But vespa species like yelllowjackets are douches all day every day, and they want whatever you're eating.

Lice, fleas, army ants, termites (if they use any form of wood or wood adjacent materials), mosquitos, bed bugs, and a ton of others... Not necessarily killers, but they're part of your ecosystem now, and god bless you if they carry diseases. Imagine cross breeding aphids' reproductive system with mosquitos with a highly lethal to the enemies toxin. (Aphids can gestate while still not being born, which means each one can birth about 10 per day on average but contrary to the murder hornets, they are all capable of asexual reproduction, which means exponential growth)

Oh my, yes... when the base commander started babbling about hoping the Hornets do not "hitch a ride" off-world, I was giggling with such evil glee. That is of course how those bastards spread to the North American continent. I am actually curious what will happen if some of those Africanized killer bees come into contact with those little f'ers. There was such panic over those things that movies were made about the killer bee epidemic back in the seventies, but nothing really came of it. I am thinking that perhaps people are considering those murder Hornets to be similar, but I don't think it's going to work out that way.
