Can't wait to try this one! Wednesday my SU haul arrives, yay! I just heard about arrival ofJumping Worms from SE Asia in RI..... great. Oh and once I wore two different boots at the same time. One black the other brown. Same size heel. Put them on in my dark closet and wore them all day lol!

Gross!! I can't handle the caterpillars. Worms are disgusting too. I have worn 2 different shoes too. When I was a teacher, I had like 6 pairs of the same shoes in all different colors and one day I wore a black and a blue one. Same shoe, different color. LOL!

Lisa - They are called Gypsy Moths. We have them here in NH too. You can have someone spray them if they get in your trees. Otherwise they will eat all the leaves and some stems and sometimes kill the tree.

I have the tent caterpillars which are almost the same as the gypsy ones but they are just as gross. I bought some spray to get rid of them.

Hi Lisa, I heard your story about the caterpillars. These are harmless creatures, and really will not kill your trees. They will eat until the tree has no leaves, but the tree will recover; just give it a few weeks. They make their silky long threads to protect themselves from birds and other insects. They will become very pretty moths with kind of polkadot wings if you do not kill them. Hugs, Brigitte 🦋

They might be harmless but they are everywhere. I can't even go out on my deck without them crawling on me. They are literally eating my whole garden. I have never seen so many in my life. Usually I see a few all summer. Now I see hundreds every time I walk outside.

Hi Lisa watching the replay. We have caterpillars up here in Canada and they are gross!!! They have been known to cause accidents when they cross the roads and cars are squishing they and the greasy bodies cause the vehicles to go out of control. We haven't really find anything to kill them. We spray diluted dish soap on our tree trunks. They get so bad you don't even want to go outside. We have to scrape them off the house with a snow shovel. Sorry they are really gross.

For your caterpillar problem, mix up a solution of cheap dish detergent and water in a spray bottle. Spray away - although plant leaves may get droopy, we always found that they recover - the caterpillars don't!
