My god I feel like shit whenever I play Absol. Maybe I’m just taking the wrong opportunities but it feels like every time I try fighting I just do no damage and explode in 2 seconds. This is a complicated way of saying I really admire Chris for his absol gameplay.

Look at cris's absol ultimate guide, I think it's a pretty good explain if you're struggling to know the situations where you're supposed to fight and how, but part of it it's of course practice, I would recommend spending a little time on it if you're interested, absol is my favorite speedster since I started playing, it's so damn fun and so good at hard carrying

I'm not an absol expert by any stretch of the imagination but if you watch closely you'll see that Cris looks for an opportunity to quickly dive in and take out one or two weak/squishy pokemon then quickly jump back out. You may be making the mistake of diving into big groups or tanky pokemon instead of picking off opponents when they're vulnerable and/or separated from their allies

Attack Weight instead of Energy amp works well too. Pursuit with decent stacks can pretty much make a squishy go poof literally in one hit. It takes a bit of practice since it's a little tricky to combo pursuit without sucker punch.

personally, i prefer playing night slash in this build and it never disappointed me honestly. the combo psycho cut -> night slash -> auto -> night slash is most of time a one shot if the enemy is not careful enough. been my safe pick recently with dnite in duo q 🙏
