Eric, this is - in manifold ways - a very attractive video! I like best the demonstrations at about minutes 2:00 and 13:30 because you (or Carolina, respectively) show the front view perspective after the follow through; this is so important because the tilt of the shoulder can be seen so nicely which is possible in this clarity only from this perspective!

Appreciate it, Bernhard! Carl is so awesome to work with--we had fun and she's so good at demonstrating the correct movements!

Thank you for pointing this out. I re-watched the video and was impressed by tilt at 4:50.

How do you implement right arm supination if you are trying to keep your arms straight ?
@CogornoGolf3 жыл бұрын
Hey Bart! Good timing...more on that coming in todays video. You can add supination with a straight(ish) arm Hold your arm in front of you straight with thumb up Arms don't need to be LOCKED straight to be effective but looking to avoid massive bend Now turn palm up Here is more on left arm supination: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHzXi5xonqqGiac kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaG6Z4KVjq2Xhqs kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJ29o5yLpbVqhNU

Great video..how much further though do we go with the follow through? Can we go further that parallel to the ground? I feel likecits hard to stop right at this point
@CogornoGolf3 жыл бұрын
Hey Nick! Yes you can. Just some good checkpoints to look for in practice here. Getting the hands more shoulder height works as well similar to this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHjRZ39sftuFq7s

Hey Eric. Brilliant stuff. While I can get this position with the drill you suggest here, and I can extend both arms at P8, dynamically at even moderate speed my club shaft is closer to 90° to arm plane at this point. Should I be working on keeping the shaft more parallel to the arms a la a Adam Scott at P8 or not worry about it as long as I hit these checkpoints? (PS I have definitely improved shaft lean at impact following your advice, though bisection of club shaft between arms is still just shy of 45° post impact )
@CogornoGolf3 жыл бұрын
Great question, Rohit! I would say to start the overall length of the arms would be #1 priority. #2 would be the overall arc length of the club head. I would NOT be too worried about lengthening that arc UNLESS you were having issues with high dynamic loft, low point issues and/or ball curving to the right. Keeping clubhead arc wider (arms and shaft more 180* vs 90*) would serve to lower dynamic loft, face more closed to path.....(all else equal)

When the arms are parallel at the follow through, in what direction is the club pointing? At the target, right of the target, or left of the target?
@CogornoGolf3 жыл бұрын
Left of target And up toward sky Butt of club should be pointing ROUGHLY back to the ball-target line

Any advice for someone that has a lack of flexibility in the shoulder/elbow leading to a bit of a flying right elbow? 22yrs old, 4hc. But don’t seem to have the shoulder flexibility and have to reroute the swing leading to the odd steep or push
@CogornoGolf3 жыл бұрын
Hey James! Its OK to have a flying right elbow in backswing BUT you want to get it going back external in transition kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXzdY2Cvo5qFaNE kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXvToap6fNubo7s If you decided you wanted to train that out....tee or glove under trail arm would be a nice place to start to gain feels needed kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaCYeHaNm9F2qdE

Hi Eric I've been working on this and am hitting them great, I feel like I am more consistent and accurate..only thing is I've lost a bit of distance e.g. 7 iron I can normally hit around 145 to 150 metres, at the range today was only hitting around 120 metres...any suggestions?
@CogornoGolf3 жыл бұрын
Hey Nick! Sorry to hear that....unfortunately I do not have any suggestions based on this alone. I would really need to see your swing to say for sure. I mean if you are making swings like this stopping at arms parallel that's NORMAL....its not a full swing....it should go shorter. But if you are saying you are feeling these things and still making full swings and its that much short I would stop. Distance is too important, cannot lose that much. If you don't get it sorted join our team at www.cogornogolf.co msg you can send in your swing and we can help

My day: 1. Session in my golf cave 2. Review video from #1 3. Notice Eric has uploaded a new video 4. Watch video 5. Re-watch my day's video and notice I am doing what he says not to do (or in this case stopped doing what he shows) 6. Back to golf cave and repeat #1 and #2 My life would be easier if I waited for #3 (or Eric uploaded videos earlier) :-(
