Building the right side of the mustache section of the grill. It can be tricky but taking it one step at a time it will be fine

It's hard enough making a duplicate of something, but when it's a mirror image, that's even harder. Templates to the rescue.

Fitzee, what you can do with a grinder, a hammer and a welder is amazing, you are truly a master at your craft.

I had to stop watching the video after only 10 minutes in to say that this is INCREDIBLE education, Fitzee! The paperwork for templating was so advanced, and even though ypu made it look easy, I personally know it isnt! Wow, but you are very special to some of us in the DIY lowrider community. 🖖🏽

I love your fabrication skills. But my favorite thing about your work is that you don't waste anything. Using scraps of whatever is around to make what you need is what got our car hobby going. And doing it without buying expensive tools is also a plus. You're the real deal. I wish we lived in the same area. Cause I would love to come learn from you

Intricate work Tony. Unbelievable what you can do with some scrap steel and a welder.😊
@parrotraiser654116 күн бұрын
For someone without metalworking experience, the concept of making things in intermediate forms, with locating tabs is all rather exotic; you can't really do that with other materials, e.g. wood. It obviously works, though.

That was some really nice metal work! They are beautiful and they match. You again proved how your method of a piece at a time and not overthinking it comes thru again. Cheers!

Hey Tony, as I watched the video I always am amazed of the fitment of the pieces that you make. they are like a glove fit and come together perfectly. Your process of making one piece at a time really works and shows up in the finished part, I thought it’s like putting together a jigsaw puzzle but you have to make all the pieces for it. Thanks for the great videos and keep on going can’t wait for the next one. Later

Hey Tony, the greatest lesson I've learned is that I don't have to make complicated pieces from one piece of metal. Once I accepted that, the once impossible can be done with my simple tools. Thanks

Hi Tony. Amazing how you make a complex panel from smaller panels and fit it all together! Seems so simple, but if you're looking at making a panel, it's hard to know where to start. Breaking it down seems to make it more manageable.

Fitz', soooo happy you got back on Wendy's car and got it done. i know the "buzz-saw" you ran into with your followers for getting away from the "cut & butt format". thank you so much for "hanging in there!!!" i have personally built 50+ cars from start to finish over my life-time (finishing up a C-4 "big mistake" right now!?!). "next/last one", Good Lord Willing; will probably be a Ford ('25 to '34 range)...probably finished simply...like your '51. i've always done each step all by my self from disassembly to repair/customizing to paint polish and reassembly; except for the upholstery work which i farmed out. you are absolutely right "that last 10% of a complete project is a total nightmare!" we enjoy every one of your vids...great ideas...great fabrication details!!! i have watched every minute of every bit of your content. truly enjoy your approach and learn something (or am challenged) each and every time. BTW your ideas and job you're doing on the '49 is off the hook! very best to you, Wendy and each member of your extended families. rgrds...walt+mrs (79 this july...mrs will be 70 in august...G.L.W.)

We use the little 3M Roloc grinding discs at work. And the other guys toss them when the edge is worn. So I take them and cut them down and use them on my grinder. I cut the mounting/backing plate down on my grinder too. So not only am I saving the shop money. But I'm also keeping landfill waste down. Plus the smaller discs I cut down can get into places that a new one can't.
