The psychic connection between identical twins is very true and valid. My identical twin sons were born 6 minutes apart. Their childhood memories are filled with many shared, amazing experiences. Shared psychic episodes contined into adulthood. My obstetrician heard only one heartbeat at each of my visits. He kept telling me how loud my baby's heart beat was and not once did he entertain the possibility of me carrying twins. Their hearts were beating, synchronised, as one. Imagine our( the parents) and his surprise, in the labour ward when my sons were born. The doctor finally believed I wasn't overeating.That was 1975 before ultrasounds were available or used.

That's Mike Kellin and his acting chops come from his voluminous stage work for which he was nominated for a Tony Award and won an Obie. It's the lack of such stage experience that explains the very shallow pool of capable actors today. Kellin's first movie was "At War with the Army," a 1950 comedy with Jerry Lewis & Dean Martin, and he worked continuously in movies and TV until his death in 1983 at the age of 61.

Doctors used to be on call 24 hrs. I dont know when they slept, but they could get a call at any time of the night and theyd go. When I was a teen, in 1967, my mother called a doctor she knew and he came over. It was around 8 pm. He checked me over and she paid him 5 dollars. Try that today. They dont work nights or weekends. You have to go to emergency at a hospital and end up paying hundreds of dollars. Doctoring is just another way of making big bucks. Nothing to do with helping your fellow man.

This series is so unlike Twilight Zone that they really cannot be compared. Here as dramatized by Newland and his staff, was a riveting real-life incident of which otherwise without, we would not and could not have known. Not only were we entertained darkly, but also made as newly informed. Both Newland and Serling were supremely fine creators and presenters. I really would not ever desire to handicap either in supposed competition, such being pointless utterly in my view. And I will shoot back, "Yeah, that's...Walter Burke - character actor made many films, did the murder in NAKED CITY, and also was Willie Stark's driver in ALL THE KING'S MEN, the 1949 Broderick Crawford version.." I'd hear the person on the phone go..."Yayyy!!" Mucho free beers all round. Trivia don't cha, love it!

Many times i've struggled to remember the name of an actor that has appeared in many films but never attained a "star" status. It IS, as you have noted, a handy ability to have when others are trying to recall that which is on the edge of the mind but just can't seem to remember. Really good, scary video, as is typical of One Step Beyond. After watching it, I kept pondering the psychic connections between identical twins. I was really worried for the husband. Good thing the doctor became open-minded enough to make that long-distance call to a lawyer. Great ending, with both the husband and his unknown twin brother saved.
@marywhittaker572 Жыл бұрын
I remember a time, when people praying and church scenes, were shown in movies and television films, not like today. The combined prayers, of both the priest and the wife, were the powerful force that saved Dominic, in the end. It was good that the priest while praying, was listening to Dominic's utterances and interpreted his changed accent. His reporting to the doctor and Florence (Dominic's wife), caused the doctor to be a possibility thinker, and follow up with a phone call to the lawyer.

What a great story! Believe it or not, I've had some personal experiences dealing with the paranormal, as well. They're just too long to mention. And yes, great TV is a thing of the past!

Carlos - I too had some paranormal experiences which I cannot explain except that one should listen and pay attention because it can save our lives.
@Paladin18737 жыл бұрын
These stories are mostly fictional. When researching them, I've found few that even had a basis in reality. The rest were greatly exaggerated. Nevertheless, they are well scripted and acted, which seems to be the hallmark of many old half-hour drama series. Regarding your comment about paying attention to "paranormal experiences", I presume you are including dreams and premonitions. My degrees are in psychology, and I have yet to see any well constructed experiment that demonstrated the presence of paranormal occurrences such as telekinesis, levitation, or mind reading. I have seen anecdotal evidence of premonition, but that is difficult to qualify or quantify. I will add that just because someone has a premonition of impending doom, that does not necessitate such an outcome is a forgone conclusion. My wife had one about me the night before a great tragedy struck. She even begged me to stay home from work that day, but did not tell me why. I delayed going in for an hour, but finally left anyway. Shortly after I arrived at my office, all hell broke loose. The date was 11 September 2001, and my office was in the Pentagon. I survived unscathed, but when I returned home that evening she finally told me that her reason for having insisted I stay home was because she'd had a nightmare of me being trapped in a fire at work. Whether it was merely coincidence or a premonition, I now insist she immediately tell me about any bad dreams she has. No sense in taking chances!

THIS has always been one of The More Remarkable 'episodes' of OSB, and one that certainly "begs" for further study of such thoroughly documented phenomena!! In fact, I'm rather amazed that this series has not been 'revived', since the sheer quantity of psychic phenomena that must have also been documented over the past 60 years since OSB originally aired must be enormous.….... BIG THX Pizza Flix.

TSM, I can see how the casting would have worked. There are physical similarities between him and Brad Davis. Occasionally, however, such as in the elevator scene, he reminds me of Burt Lahr.

I worked in a library in Spring Valley, NY. Mike Kellin came in and I checked a book out to him. I did manage to keep my cool, cause I did not want to embarrass him. Helen Hayes and Bill Murray lived in Nyack, NY. a few townships down from Spring Valley. This was in Rockland County. Just a trip down memory lane.

Wow this was really good, this is the second episode I've seen, through this channels playlist of this show, I had never seen it before today, never even heard of it, I don't think, but as someone who has seen The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits, the originals, well as well as the remakes, I think I like this show better. It has at least in the two episodes I've seen here, good endings, not always bad ones like Twilight Zone especially tended to do. I'm 56 and as I said I never seen or heard of this show. Thanks for giving me a chance to see them now.
