I saw her on Dr Kildare show. In the 60’s. She was a surfer who had epilepsy and she loved catching the wave. Thank You for sharing your video.❤️🍀

Yvette Mimieux always played the beautiful ingenue and was a screen staple during the beginnings of the television series. It’s the way most of us who are older will remember her- young, beautiful and an essential part of the story. RIP, lovely girl.

Well, this was very sad!! All the way around: the unfortunate wife; the clown, and that insanely jealous husband. What a story. 🥺

What a nice surprise OSB, great to see you again. Reminds of something Lon Chaney Sr. once observed. “There’s nothing more frightening then a clown after midnight.”

As a child I fell in love with Yvette in the classic movie: The Time Machine. Looking forward to watching this episode. Thanks for making it available.

You gave a certain innocence to early days TV and loved you as Wenna in The Time Machine. No Wonder he went back (forward as time is a wiggly squiggly thing) to be with you. I would do the same. R.I.P beautiful one.

It seems that she was so beautiful, yet was a bit simple minded. She found delight in the thought of a carnival and a clown. Very friendly, kind and unassuming. Sad 😪

Beautiful Yvette also Weena from The Time Machine. Also this music is featured in Hitchcock's Rear Window with James Stewart.

Well Hello, OSB! Nice to see this pop up. But says “No stream. Tap to retry.” No go :-( . Hope you’re doing well❣️

Christopher Dark (as the husband) acted superbly as a benevolent but disturbed doctor, in a Lone Ranger episode. Seeking revenge; instead, he finds redemption & love with a minister's daughter.

Well, hello darkness my old friend! This was the type of part Yvette usually played along with Connie Stevens. Type cast. I am a clown hater but for a different reason. Before I was born, my father was a real clown. My parents were in their 40s when I was born. Once I was old enough to go trick-or-treating, my mother would size the clown suit and my father would put grease paint on my face. Until I stopped going, that was my costume every year (and once at a sock hop). And...grease paint wears off, even with repeated cold cream, so I had to go to school with the paint on my face fading for days. Except for Emmett Kelly and Freddie the Freeloader (Red Skelton), I still hate clowns! Great episode, thank you.

I always liked clowns until the movies Poltergeist and It.
@jackiereynolds28882 жыл бұрын
Right. Poltergeist, - Remember when that very wicked small clown doll dragged the boy under the bed; it was late at night during a frightening rain storm, and suddenly we see the boy fighting for his freedom underneath the bed - the stuffed toy had that evil wicked expression and was twisting it's arms around the boy's throat trying to kill him ? I never saw clowns the same way ever since that movie. 🤡

Is the guy who plays the husband the guy who later played the landlord of Three's Company? I think his name was Roper in that?
@kayekaye2512 жыл бұрын
I think you might be right! Was trying to figure it out myself but I think you got it.
@justjoanish2 жыл бұрын
@@kayekaye251 hmmmm, did a little more googling. Looks like it's not the same person. Christopher Dark played the husband. Dark died in 1971. Norman Fell played the landlord.

The one One Step Beyond episode that truly creeped me out was another one with a carnival. That kid that wandered onto the grounds; he was a runaway from a nut house or something. The kid fell in love with that pretty girl and tried to do magic on her while she was passed out. Only the trick was the one he watched her perform before; the one where she gets sawed in half with a table saw ! The kid thought the wand was magic of course and nothing would happen. The kid places the girl into that long box - when the kid did pull that big circular saw across the box with that girl inside - it was truly real wicked. You get the rest.

It was an Alfred Hitchcock episode. It was an eerie episode, I agree.

The husband was such a jerk ~ I would have had to find a way to make him disappear
It seems I'm the only one that finds her behavior offensive and disrespectful right in front of her husband. Obviously he should have divorced her immediately once he realized that's the way she is.
