The aesthetic in this video was inspired by The Matrix. They mention it in one of their behind the scenes videos. The green in The Matrix (and thus this video) is a reference to old CRT monitors from the 70's and 80's to differentiate when they are in the real world vs the Matrix. Colorful spiky hair and the Matrix were both inspired by anime.

Dante LAN-I-ER I'm sure that it was CHESTER who hated this song, mainly because he gained infamy and mockery due to the "Shut up" part. While Mike probably thought it's so bad because it's really cringey. FYI, director Gregory Dark was a porn director.

Yeah. In one interview Mike said, that those up and down movements weren't even in choreography. They just happened to do them. xD And while I cry every f*cking time during Leave out all the Rest when I'm watching this I'm laughing, cuz seeing Mike and Chester and rest of the band in their edgy form is just.... perfect. That last sentence brought tears to my eyes. A beautiful tribute.
@StGeoRUSH6197 жыл бұрын
Thank you... Someone had asked me, "What do you mean by that bro?", and this was my response: Basically, I mean that before, I just thought LP was some really cool music. However, after studying psychology, the disorders, the many troubled paths that many people have to go through... going back and listening to many of the words of their songs, and hearing some of the backstories on Chester, now I understand the pain and anguish in his voice. To me, that pain is what made his voice stand out to me. Abuse, drug and alcohol addiction, vulnerability, and just not feeling like you belong; really does take a toll after a while. For many people, they're afraid to come out into the light, and put themselves out there, leaving them without a voice. Chester gave those people a voice, and that's all I meant... Peace

Sometimes the simplest of lyrics can be the most powerful, and cut through all the bull-s#!t and get right to the base of the problem. BigSkoal, I never actually said they moved me, what I said, was that I never looked at his lyrics from a patient/psychologist's point of view; but now I know what I'm looking at. Message to Gloria: remember that not everyone sees things the same. Chill, everyone is entitled to their opinion... Peace
