It is EXTREMELY powerful once it gets to the lategame and most, if not all of the BBs are either dead or barely alive. To survive the early game, you have to play defensively and support your own BBs.

She is more of heavy cruiser than light one. Slow ruddershift, not good maneuverbility yet having a heavy cruiser trait. Hard hitting AP shell with good penetration, a little low DPM as it has 4 double gun turrets and not quite impressive reload ( yet only a heavy cruiser with faster reload is des moines​ class )​

Nevsky is a pretty braindead ship. Extremely good at kiting and has potent fire chance and good AP pen, but I had to learn to forgo IFHE before I got good results

Nevsky is basically a Smolensk with the smoke exchanged for radar instead.

I like that you take some blind shots; I'm often surprised watching ytube videos that some good players (not me) don't take shots when they've just lost vision, but could still easily guess where the ship is...

Shooting blind is difficult. Keep ur eye on engine exhast, it gives an idea of how much to lead your target.

There are other factors why good players sometimes don’t take the blind shots. But to increase the win rate, killing off targets are often the right choice. Blind shots are not hard and most players do it nowadays.

Also really depends on the type of ship you're playing and the position you're in. If you have plenty of targets to shoot and you're in something with a longer reload then a blind shot has of course a much bigger opportunity cost.

Its me realizing that I grinded my way through the Russian CL/ CA line to get this beautiful ship. Literally got hit 2 1/2 hours before the servers went down and removed it from the tech tree.

Actually just picked this ship up as my first coal ship. Been kind of struggling figuring out the play style as I have not played any Russian ships before. I always get HE spammed to death. I think I just need to be patient at the beginning like you did. Love to see this come out at the same time as me picking it up. Keep up the great content!

Think of it as a Russian Des Moines except a little tankier and harder hitting HE.

This ship highlights ones' ability to aim and shot placement. In the early game I find it best to stay at the furthest range where I can make my shots. Mid to late game I choose when and where to move in based on potential HE sources, available cover, and what the team needs. So I guess the ship has morphed into a more support role for me. It's still very effective but in this role I have more wins and less high damage losses.

I do have a soft spot for Moskva. She used to be a very strong ship back in the day. Sadly, she is greatly overshadowed by Stalingrad and Petropavlovsk.

This was awesome. Real replays from real games. I'm subscribing to your channel. I'm absolutely convinced that many of the replays people post are staged actors. They load up on flags to score 4,000 free XP against so-called opponents mindlessly sailing broadside. It's like watching the Harlem Globe Trotters and thinking you're watching a competitive game.

Bow-in, Moskva's ability to tank is still impressive. My record in her is 3.2mil potential so far, in the last clan battles season that was tier 10, so a recent game too, against the more modern ships prevalent in Clan Battles. :D

I personally think you don't see many Moskva around is purely because even now nearly a year into the Future, Perto is still just flat out better. Moskva has worse pen and her shells his at worse angles, Petro has better armor, she has better concealment, a better turning circle, better AA, better AP alpha damage, really the only things Moskva beats Petro in is DPM and Radar duration, but she ties Nevsky for radar duration and Nevsky well out DPMs Moskva, it should also be noted that a Legend Mod Moskva has basically the dispersion of Nevsky. So basically if you want to play Moskva as a strong wall for the other team to have to break with a 12km radar, well Petro does that better. If you want to play Moskva as a DPM boat, Nevsky does that better. Moskva is kind of just stuck in the middle with no real identity.

Moskva 'makes' 90k more credits per game over a tech tree 10 thanks to the halved service cost and 45k / 135k if you take permaflages into account.

I am close to my next steel ship and leaning toward Stalingrad hence I got Petro and Moskva and enjoy the playstyle of USSR cruisers. I have thought of getting Austin to change things up. Moskva is one of my favorites. Thoughts?

my question to everyone is, what current coal ships would you want first, and the same with the RB ships. i have enough of both to buy 2 of each but just can't make up my mind if i should do it, or wait till the end of the year when they announce what ships are going away. i really hated missing out on ships like the JB because i just used my coal for another boat just before they said it was going away.

Yoshino and Pommern if I can only do 2 coal. RB- I got Seigfreid and Colbert because I wanted the challenge and something different. So far it has been very challenging.

If you have enough for 2, then consider getting unique commanders and a ship. Or hold coal in reserve for the next JB situation. Commanders make a huge impact across many ships.

The Russian tech tree is by far the most frictional, not only that they ever invested in actual shops, but also that they were able to crew and maintain them effectively

Most people I see struggle in the Nevsky are playing it too aggressive. For the most part you need to stay at max range where you can hit with those accurate guns, with reduced risk of being hit. The second big mistake I see is people using HE only. The AP on this ship is really good at ANY range and so I got rid of IFHE and learned to rely on AP more. The best pathway to getting stronger in the Nevsky, imho, is the T7 Shchors. In that ship you HAVE to develop aiming skills at long range or you will rarely have a good match. Nevsky also rewards good open water kiting skills. If you're not wearing off the letters on your "WASD" keys in this ship you're playing it wrong! I hope some of this helps.

Petropavlosk isn't more tanky when you are bow in/angled like you should. The bow is so huge that it eats cits, the extended belt is useless, it's too small. 30k volleys on bow in petros from montanas is a daily thing I see.

daily ... I'm not saying that is impossible but nah 30k doesnt happen that often on Petro. But still Petro got better AA and sits way lower in water so it doesnt get dev striked every time it shows broadside (which Moskva is "good" at)

Moskva has more HP, longer lasting radar, better accuracy, faster reload, bullsh*t HE and AP performance Petropavlovsk sit very low and hard to hit, superior AA defense, highly effective AP shell with improve autobounce​ angle, thicker overall armor

Well Petros should be slightly angled, always moving back and forth to throw off the aim, and peaking in and out of cover. 30k salvos through the bow do happen but they're really not common if one plays their Petro correctly. The thing with WoWS is that battleship salvo RNG is a huge factor and often if you sit bow in any sort of skinny cruiser, even with an overmatchable bow, chances are is that you'll live through at least 1 or 2 salvos.

If you are German Lutjens , if you have soviet commanders that you want to train Moskva is a choice , I have Moska and is not bad ship , I would rather take ship instead of captain , as face it he is only good on German bbs .

Agree with your AA build I do not. Lack of AA quantity and durability make it susceptible to HE shell. 1 AA station destroyed mean significantly less AA firepower. Even worse with the number it has ( 4 dual purpose turret and 12 AA stations )​ and AA build that you have would not demonstrate it effectiveness in battle as there no AA gun left

Because they are. Look at the filters in port, there are options to show the difference.

Game only says it's premium to trick you into thinking it farms more credits but it dont. It's almost same like some WOT tier 10 and 9 special tanks. Theyre also considered "premium" in game filters but they dont have any credit multiplier.

You will make way more money with a special tier 10 or 9 ship vs their tech tree counterpart even with permacamos. Ex Salem makes way more credits than DM regardless in any battle mode.
