One Year ago I Switched from Fujifilm to Sony - Was it the right decision?

All of yours needs could have been met with Fuji XH2S. And you could have used all of current lenses perhaps expanded the kit. I have XT4 and love the look of the dials, but 99% of the time I reach for my XH2S. The grip is amazing as well as so many other things. Sony does have an immense lens selection that’s hard to resist.

Great video. Been thinking about doing something similar. Spent the last year or so building up my Fujifilm lenses and Camera bodies. However, I’ve just been so frustrated with the autofocus capabilities on the Fuji. I need something that is going to be sharp and accurate 99% of the time, and that’s not what I’ve been getting (even with the newest model bodies and lenses). And if I feel like I need to scratch that creative itch and find myself craving the tactile feeling of a vintage camera, I will just pull out one of my old Nikon cameras and shoot some film.

i had the xt3 xt4 and then sony a7s3 and canon r5. I had to go back to fuji with xh2s just because I prefer the rendering sooc. I struggle with sony but this is the best technology. And now they have this global shutter sensor. That's crazy and the AF is quite impressive. Still i prefer fuji for stills and video.

Nice comparison! I have an X-T3 and really have loved it, but I don't shoot video. For me, the X-T3 was a great choice when considering performance for the money. I have it for about 2 1/2 years now and bought it barely used with the 18-55. Question: Since you did shoot video with your X-T3 I wonder if you could give me some advice. I've avoided video because editing seems so daunting to me. I'm wondering which film simulation on the X-T3 would be best to shoot video and use it basically right out of camera with no color grading or other crazy editing. I spend enough time in front of my computer already. Don't want to add to it. Thanks for the comparison and input!! Have a great week.

I Shot video with the xt3/xt4 on average i Shot f-log but if you want to use it straight out of camera you can use any picture profile you want and which ever suit you the most really. Classic chrome any really how ever eterna usally was the one to go for for most of the people. I personally didn’t like it and never got the required look out of it but that was me

The video is good but yeah this really did my head in as well. Just say "The Sony" or "A7", repeating the full name every few seconds just sounds very bizarre.

Oh yeah in the big scheme of things it's not a major problem, your video quality and the actual content were very good. Maybe it's a thing in English that a non-native speaker doesn't pick up on straight away which is more than fair!

Fujifilm autofocus has massively improved with the new generation of xh2/xh2s/xt5. I had a play around with the xh2s in a camera store and it was seriously impressive. And I’m sure Fuji has had brought firmware updates down to the xt3 to improve the Autofocus as well. However 12 month ago perhaps the Fuji xt3 wasn’t there where the xt3 might be yet
