Welcome to Our French Chateau!
We are Amanda and Lincoln. With our two daughters and pets in tow, we moved across the world from our home in San Francisco California to buy and restore a petite chateau on 40 acres in the beautiful French countryside of Brittany.
Our channel will document our triumphs and failures in restoring the 19th-century Chateau de Lingourdy. We plan on returning the gardens, cottages and barns back to their former glory (on a tight budget) and opening it up to the public for events and luxurious stays. So if you're interested in observing daily life through the eyes of an American family whose French language skills are quite lacking and who have amassed a menagerie that includes cats, dogs, and donkeys, please join us...

I vote keep going. You folks may not have 300k like another French vlogger, but I find your content so much more satisfying to watch. I like your style - genuine yet quippy and not full of yourselves. Sounds harsh towards the other but just giving honest feedback. I like that you always have a nice mix of interior-exterior chateau work, your adorable pets and the reality of caring for them and some authentic and dry humour plus i think we all relate to the ups and downs you go through as well. I just love you guys and your channel! You have bought a chateau in the most beautiful part of France. Unless you have spent allot of time living and exploring Brittany, you can’t truly appreciate it enough. They have miles and miles of hiking/walking trails to explore plus miles of cliff walks over looking the English Channel. And the markets, wow, you can to to one everyday in the small towns You have the most wonderful spot to raise a family. Now, back to the chateau! The new bathroom chandelier is perfect in every way. I’m so glad you hunted around. The towel holders are such a charming addition! You have worked SO very hard on the bathroom and it is now sound for the next 100 yrs. I’m glad Lincoln is doing better and getting some rest. Your Vanilla, I’m going to try it. Paid $6 for the tiny bottle of Real Vanilla this week, almost choked!

Kiddie pools work great for stinky dogs. 1 for wash, 1 for rinse. Takes 3 people at my house to wash a dog...1 to hold, 2 to scrub! When dog is in rinse pool, pour buckets of warm water over. My blow dryer helps if it is too cold to dry right..then brush and brush and........brush.😊

I watched all your videos on a 2 day binge. I love watching what was once abandoned being returned to a beautiful family Chateau. I enjoy your extended family of 3 and 4 legged creatures. I find I am always buying cat food too. I have opened a can of tuna or chicken in an emergency. Of course, my Siamese princess, Jasmine, would have me thinking everyday is an emergency. I put water and dry food out for the neighbor hood feral cats. They just happen to know I leave the door to my potting shed slightly open and have multiple animal beds dotting tables, chairs, and the floor. Last count there was 9 adults and 3 kittens checked into the Hotel Shed. Please keep posting your renovation videos. They bring a much needed respite and oftentimes a good laugh beautiful photography and witty banter. Until the next one, Cynthia in Modesto

I must add my vote to the 221 who've so far cried out to "Please don't stop recording your chateau life and renovation progress!" I look forward to each episode, so enjoying your photography, editing, music, menagerie of adopted fur friends, no nonsense design style, delightfully dry, matter of fact, yet witty sense of humor! So sorry about Lincoln's injury, but sometimes a forced "slow-down" is not all bad.
