From clearing the land to finishing the interior, the timelapse captures every critical moment, showcasing the dedication and resilience it takes to build a home by hand. Watching the seasons change around the cabin adds a poetic element to the project, reminding viewers of nature’s role in the experience of off-grid living.

In this remarkable timelapse video, viewers are taken through an entire year’s worth of hard work and dedication as a couple (or an individual) builds their dream log cabin from the ground up. Over the course of one year, the video condenses the immense effort, planning, and construction into just one hour, providing an inspiring and captivating look at the process of building a self-sustaining log cabin in the wilderness.

Or support through the center of a deck or platform and then wonder why there is so much swaying in the surface or settling and sinking in the center of the platform..
