Nice video. The running deer were beautiful, and different from any other video I've seen. I had some unusual things happen while camping there. Birds started to accumulate in one spot close to where I was, near the shore. More and more came and joined them. There were lots of coots and grebes, plus some great blue herons, white pelicans and others. It seemed like they were attracted there by something. Maybe there was a school of fish there. It was amazing to see them all gather in that one spot so enthusiastically. Some came in from across the lake. They must have seen the gathering and came in to join the party. Then I heard panic. I looked over there and they were all taking off in a rush, out over deeper water. My first thought was that someone had approached them, but I looked and no one was around. Then my second thought was a predator. Maybe a coyote. I looked for it, and saw something dragging a large bird out of the water. I grabbed a scope I had with me, and could see it more clearly and in more detail. A bobcat had a very large bird, and was slowly making its way up the hill with it. The wings got in the way of the bobcat's feet, and it could only take small steps. When it got to some bushes, I went over. It was a great blue heron. Maybe an hour later, I noticed a large fish swimming around in circles on the surface of the water, again very close to where I was, but on the other side of the small peninsula. I watched and watched. It was swimming on its side, and it looked super pregnant. Its belly was very swollen and tight. I went down right next to the water. I was sitting there checking out this behavior on my phone for a few minutes. Turns out it was probably a largemouth bass that had swallowed something bigger than it could handle. When I looked up, the fish had beached itself maybe three feet over to my left. It was twitching its fins feebly, as if it was almost dead. I went up to my vehicle and got an empty gallon jar to put the fish in. I also got a tape measure. It was twenty-three inches, and definitely had something large in its stomach. When I picked it up to put it head first into the jar, it came back to life and thrashed very strongly out of my hands and into the water. It dove down and disappeared. I went back to my vehicle and had some breakfast. When I looked over, there was no sign of the fish. Shortly after that, it reappeared, slowly swimming in circles on its side out near some branches, maybe forty feet offshore. A little later I looked again and it had again beached itself in the shallow water in the same spot. I thought I would wait until it either died or recovered, so I left it alone and checked on it now and then. If it stopped moving completely, I would take it in and cook it up. This went on for quite a while. Then I checked and it was no longer there. No sign of it out in the water either. I went down and checked out the spot on the shore where it had been. There were some wet tracks in the sand. I found the clearest ones. They were perfect, clear tracks. I took pictures and got online to get a positive identification. Coyote tracks. I had a few other unusual events happen there, but this is long enough now. So thanks again for the beautiful video, and happy sailing. 🌻

That must have been amazing! I would love to catch a bobcat taking a bird like that! I would have guessed the cat would have waited for night. Which makes me wonder how many are out during the day and you just don't know how close you are to them. We have been fortunate to see many bobcats but never during an ambush. Thanks for sharing your story, I enjoyed it. 😀

Just an FYI, the ASPCA does not recommend shaving your dog, their coat actually has insulating benefits in hot weather just as much as in cold. Also shaving them can make them susceptible to sunburn. They recommend that if you do shave them to leave at least one to two inches fur to protect them from sunburn. Dogs regulate their temperature through panting. We love your show, and our golden loves Roodle. as do we. Safe travels.

Hi , can we all stop with the word free? I live in an area of forestry service that has had dispersed camping for ever. But now, been at a meeting where the forestry and blm is going to either ,charge and have only a few designated sites,or shut down for all camping if not a camp ground. Why,because a few to many people have noticed on tube about free camping, and or dispersed means free. So it will now be ruined,I was at one of these meeting , it came right out if it wasn't for KZbin they would have never know. It's not only the camping, we now get people telling whom ever asks, about these awesome places to swim and Or just be. The wrong people now know because of it being posted and giving directions to get there. The places now have been over crowed ,ruined ,trash up, Many accidents happening. Now they are getting shut down. Many , and that is from people giving out info and how to find. These places have been used by locals and if they wernt locals it was respected enough not to pass on to just anyone. So 30 years of enjoying places have been taken away because of posts and people not having commonsense these days. Same thing will continue everywhere if theses posting of free ,it's already being taken away and in the works in my areaand it will continue around the state and into other states. All because of some not liking the idea of it being free. And got that way from seeing that word enough on KZbin. Not singlneing to whom posted this, just hoping the word gets stopped. My state is too late but maybe just maybe other states that dispersed camping won't follow. It only takes one ignorant person that thinks it shouldn't be free and it's all over. Maybe you all can help by not putting that word out and helping others stopp also. Thank u
