Fathers - put your smart phones away. Never use your phone when you're with your children. It is simply WRONG and damaging.

Amazing man. May Allah bless him. He is so relevant to our times. This is exactly the type of speaker we Muslims need in the west to benefit from. We have to be friends with our kids.

Thank you very much for discussing this issue. My parents do that, and it is slowly making me lose my interest in even seeing them. Wallahi I am trying my best to make conversation and being a good daughter. But all they see is humiliation and disappointment and never ask about my day until I don't see them at all. I tend to start going home late every day for college just so I don't have to get any negativity from them and rest in my bed with good thoughts and no arguments. My mental health has been very bad and even tried to commit suicide for the past 5 years. I don't know who I should talk to. But I want my parents to be seriously educated about this matter.

Allah swt make it easy for u Ameen! Remember parents might be stressed about other things and they cant FOCUS what important in life! Do lots of duahs for them to change! No point self harm or suicide in Islam it's a bad thing as u know! Keep praying as this might be ur test for u! Study hard and learn islam !

Be patient dear, please🙏 don't take any wrong steps and please do sabr and shukr.... Divert your mind... Do something you like , they will realise inshallah but you need to understand that Allah is great and will not leave u alone. Appreciate other good things in life!

Salam alaikum, I don't know if it is happening currently, but I would strongly recommend learning about the religion yourself, and learn how to deal with it in an Islamic way. 1- Learn about why Islam is the true religion 2- Learn about the benefits of prayer 3 - Learn about the benefits you can get from reading/listening to the Quran, and praying Salat el Layl 4- Make duas to Allah swt, and try to have discussions with your parents about that Jazakalahu khayran

Children come with responsibility if you as parents don’t want to look after your kids and expect the village To take care of them Please think twice before Having some. My mom is constantly being treated like a babysitter for her grandkids even though she sick and unwell. She doesn’t say anything for fear for dying alone
