Hey Everyone, hope this cabin Tour can be useful for you. What is your preferred cabin type when you go on a ship. Also this is our 2nd Inside cabin and it was a lot smaller compared to the one with Princess. How have yours compared in the past?

Looks good we are on The Arvia in September like you inside cabin which we had on a previous cruise on Iona and we had no problem

Hi Stacey and Kev. It's nice to see the inside cabins. Magnetic hooks definitely come in handy for a lot of things. Hats, lanyards, light jackets you might need daily. Thank you for all your hard work and taking us along ❤❤

Great very much like the cabin we had on the Iona which for a 2 weeks cruise was fine but any longer then we would go for a balcony and spoil ourselves LOL

We’ve booked a mini suite on Iona for my 70th but now wish I hadn’t because these inside cabins look alright. I guess you aren’t really in them a lot. Enjoyed this series.👍

Thought that cabin looked familiar in the first frame !! 👀 Not sure if this is your last video before you head off on your next one, but we're both wishing you a safe journey! Have a good one. And as for that trip to Stoke... Definitely! We'll have to try to work something out. Jade said to me "do you think they really mean it?" Lol

Interesting to compare this to my nearly identical cabin on Iona. The only difference I see are that the Iona's TV system is a bit older and clunkier. Couldn't control the map on that even though it seemed to have some kind of zoom controls. It's nice that they've added the wire hangers as well as the wooden ones on both ships. I've seen complaints about the lack of hangers in other videos. The wire hangers do make a bit of a racket clinking together if you don't use them. I ended up hanging a coat up on all of them at once and that stopped them from clattering against each other. I found that space on either side of the bed was alarmingly narrow (I hate to think how many bare bums have scraped up against those walls) but you're really only in that space for mere seconds every day. These are probably some of the most "space efficient" rooms I can imagine to contain all that stuff but with the chair, and being able to lie on the bed, there's still plenty of space to relax and stretch out, even if I can't imagine the space being much tighter.

Haha the bare bums against the wall 🤣🤣🤣 oh gosh never thought of that 🤮. Great we will do next time lol 😆

Great video guys, thanks. Random question alert..... Do you know what the power is like on the hairdryer!? I went on the Britannia last year & it was bloody awful
@OneCouplesAdventure10 ай бұрын
Hi, and no it wasn't the best to be honest, doesn't help my hair holds a lot of water too, so even with my hairdryer at home it takes ages to dry 🙄🤣

Great video, getting excited now for our cruise in October with P&O! On the topic of recent cruises, does anyone know if the Cruise Connect coaches are still expecting people to wear masks on the journey to Southampton? I've tried contacting them but never hear back and it will be a deal breaker for us if they do. I'd prefer to change from free coach travel to free car parking if that's the case. Thank you in advance if anyone can help.

Hi we aren't sure I'm sorry but hope someone else reads your comment that could help you. What a shame you've tried contacting them and they're no help
@81klong Жыл бұрын
I managed to get a direct contact at Intercruise and was told that even though they recommend the wearing of masks, they are NOT mandatory and they will not enforce them as it is personal choice. Just wanted to clear that up in case anyone else was wondering. Thanks and happy cruising everyone@@OneCouplesAdventure

Loved the video, lots of useful information thanks as we join the Arvia tomorrow. Do they refill the shampoo, shower gel, and hand soap if you run out. Also do they provide pool towels x
@Lee117five0 Жыл бұрын
Yes they refill the soap dispensers if they run low. We wrote a note for our cabin steward to alert him to the fact that the body wash was running low. There are also plenty of pool towels. If you return to your cabin with them then the cabin steward will deal with them for you. So don't feel like you are required to take the pool towels back to the pools.

Good information that you have to use the magnetic sign provided. I've read on a couple of forums a few people were moaning their cabin never saw a steward for a week. A simple explanation could be, they never popped the magnetic sign on the outside of the door.
@mrsprivate1678 Жыл бұрын
Your steward explains to you that you have to use the disk the day you board
@aabsurdity8817 Жыл бұрын
@@mrsprivate1678they do explain that, but at the same time there's a corridor full of stewards all knocking on cabin doors and calling "housekeeping!" I always ended up putting the disc out just to be sure, but I definitely imagined that not putting it out would end up with the stewards knocking to see if you were in and then coming in to clean if there was no answer. It's nice to have it confirmed that I'm wrong about that...
@OneCouplesAdventure Жыл бұрын
Hi the Cabin Steward did say on day one that if there was no disc out and they knocked on but there was no answer then they aren't allowed to enter at all for some reason. We saw loads of cabins left a note outside saying they weren't able to clean the room as the sign wasn't on
@OneCouplesAdventure Жыл бұрын
Yes he was very clear that from day one they cannot enter if a sign isn't in the door. We saw lots of cabins with a note outside saying they weren't allowed to enter and clean it as they didn't leave the sign on

I’ve always had an inside cabin being a solo traveller it works out much more affordable, but never again. I’ve very recently returned from my last cruise, a twelve day trip to the Norwegian Fjords on Aurora. Eight days in I contracted Covid. I phoned the medical centre and the nurse asked me if I was in a balcony or inside cabin. When I told her it was inside her exact words to me were, “You’re in for a hard time then”. She was not wrong! Four days without seeing daylight or any fresh air is not recommended. I thought I was just unlucky but on disembarkation we (that’s all the other passengers with Covid) had to wait till everyone else had disembarked. I was the second person with Covid to be allowed off the ship and I caught sight of the list in the officers hand who was crossing all of us off it as we left. And it was a very long list. So just to warn people that Covid is still very prevalent on cruise ships. Personally I will cruise again but it will always have to be a balcony cabin. That’s when finances allow.
