My roommate has this going on. Like a 32 but bigger thighs. He started getting athletic fit in jeans and says that's much more comfortable and doesn't hug in weird ways.

Athletic fit is definitely an option, otherwise I recommend shopping for your thighs, can always take the waist in at a tailor, shouldn’t cost more than ~ $20 🙏🏼
