Absolutely, RESPECT is not an option! We need to teach this to students early on and it will become part of their character to respect every one, at all times!

I'm a college student in the hardest semester ever, and I've been cramming homework for the last five hours, nothing to do with teaching but I really needed something to lift my spirits after feeling so burnt out. This video is just what I needed. Brought me back to some of the best teachers I ever had, and I got to feel like a kid again. You are so special and those kids are so, so lucky. Thanks so much for sharing this, I really needed to hear it today!

I love your inexhaustible energy and enthusiasm! This might be out of left field, but I was severely neglected as a child and extremely withdrawn mentally and emotionally. Vids like this help me to go back to those times when I was a kid and couldn't really appreciate anything social or educational and heal those old wounds. Thanks for doing this, you're helping even a grown man like me, lol. And that will make things all the more rich for our kids when my wife and I decide it's time. Here's to passing on the love!

I love the colors on your wall, nothing overwhelming. The natural tones with the wood wall calms me just by looking at it. And normally a full whiteboard would clutter my brain but somehow you managed to compose it in just a way that it feels right. Taking notes for my first-year room!

I love you videos so much. This is exactly how I want to be with my littles. I am Student Teaching right now and I have a couple students who do struggle with respect. I've been there for about two months and I have a great relationship with them but a couple in particular are really struggling with respecting everyone, classmates, teachers, etc. What do you suggest when you have a particular couple of students who say things like, "I don't have to listen" or who lash out physically?

@OneFABTeacher Жыл бұрын
GAP TIME is considered our intervention time. Meeting with struggling readers, writers, or those having difficulty in math. Yes, we have P.E, Music, and Art. We call it large group. It's so much!!!((Hugs))

Love it! I’m snooping out your schedule and wondering… do the students not go to “Specials” like music, art or PE, to give you planning time/PLC time? We have to have 2 PLC a week and that takes from my planning time so I’m wondering when do you get to plan?
@OneFABTeacher2 жыл бұрын
LOLOL it's all good! So, each day my kiddos got to those activities. We call it large group. Yes, I have planning each day during that time but two of those days we have to meet with our coaches. So we really only have 3 days of planning. Very disappointing. Teachers need and deserve to use their planning each day how they feel fit. Please don't let me get on my soap box on that one. Lol Many ((Hugs))
@EsEdmonds2 жыл бұрын
@@OneFABTeacher ahhh! Okay “Large group”! Got it! Phew. Couldn’t do without those times. Yeah it really does take time from planning. I am also a mentor to my old intern so we meet weekly on Wednesday so now I’m down to 2 planning periods. I love to help it’s just sadly our PLCs have become a show and tell to the people sitting in on our meetings since the pandemic we had to move to two meeting a week and we don’t have time to plan together, we have to present it…. It doesn’t make sense to us. I would love to hear how other teachers get to have PLCs to use their time wisely.
