I want him to do well. We haven't had much hope in the last 10 years. None of the members of our last post season run are around, Neal Huntington traded every key piece to our org for prospects that busted, or players who would get traded to another team and become a star, leaving Ben Cherrington with little to nothing to build off of , but if we can get Newman's bat going, plus all the young talent we have with Hayes, Reynolds, Cruz, etc we could have a playoff team in the next 2-4 years. Would be nice if we started spending some money on pitching, because 2021 was horrible to watch.

My idea to revamp extra innings: Walk off victories: Can Happen at any time. Team must win by two to achieve Walk off victory. When a team goes up by one and ends an inning. Game extends half inning. Next team at bat has ro score 1-2 runs to extend game. 3 runs to walk off. Games are shortened in gestalt. However still leaving door ajar for extra inning classics.

I love Oneil Cruz but honestly I don't think he's going to be the permanent shortstop. I think he's most likely going to be moved to somewhere in the outfield. outfield, and Liover Peguero is probably going to be permanent shortstop. I think he could play right because he has a cannon of an arm, but at the very least he'll probably be in left. But yeah, the Pirates already have a big shortstop prospect who's a lot better defensively, and they don't really have many outfield prospects.

I've seen a few people commenting on Cruz's 2020 car accident, so I wanted to clear the air on what exactly happened. This isn't a defense of anyone, this is just a regurgitation of what I've researched: - Oneil Cruz was involved in a crash with a motorcycle that three people were riding in together. Those three unfortunately lost their lives - Some sources say no alcohol was involved. Some sources say Cruz "smelt of alcohol." No credible sources say Cruz was DUI - The motorcycle was not using their lights at 1AM, likely causing the accident. Cruz was the one to place the 911 call Gather from this what you will

I think of the hot starts a lot of guys like puig for example had and it was like they never attained that level of performance again and the truth of their ability came out regardless of their first impressions.

I recently started a Pirates save in OOTP GO. I’m trying Hayes at SS because they don’t have anyone else. The game has Cruz at 1B by default, and his defensive attributes aren’t good. They missed the boat on him! 😄

interesting, OOTP22 has him as a third baseman, and he has low range so his defensive ratings don't lend themselves to the SS position very well. With Hayes at third I'm thinking about trading Cruz away, I currently have the #1 farm system and a #1 draft pick SS with much better ratings than Cruz currently in AA who will more than likely be taking short for me
