DUDE!!! Please tell me you're a choir teacher or some sort of music teacher. You explain things soooo well and you are very captivating to watch as well. I did music all through my childhood and haven't done any lessons or classes since I was probably 18 (22 now). These vids are so fun and educational and really bringing me back and reminding me how much I love this stuff.

She does a trill? Or that flutter thing at the I(ah) part. It's magical and out of this world. Don't know how she does it. But I don't listen to too much secular music but Tori has me. She's an exceptional artist and Loves Jesus. Amen!:) I believe that is also why it's hard for her to rise in the Hollywood industry, she doesn't sell her body for money. They can't appreciate true artists like her and it's sad. Ok rant over. Do more Tori Runs! Nobody love. 😉 also love you O'Neil you are AWESOME! KEEP ON KEEPIN ON HON. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. Ok I'm obsessed with your videos. This is like the musical theory lessons I never got bc my teacher in high school was a theatrical/opera type. Her favourite singer in the class put out two albums that were.. not so much filled with bops 😂 I love how it's broken down into the scale. Thanks for making this so in depth and I would definitely watch more

OH YESSS Thank you for this video! I remember watching Tori Kelly's videos when I was younger & trying to memorize all her runs (& ultimately failing LOL)--She definitely has perfect pitch & such an agile voice

Hey O'Neil! Again, I really love these breakdowns that you do. If possible, it would be nice if you go over: -The iconic runs Beyonce does in "I care"; the one that peaks at B5 and the staccato run to C6 in particular. -The different scales that can be used for melismata, i.e., another scale beside pentatonic scale. And why is the pentatonic scale the most common type of scale used in pop and RNB? Thank you! Your content is really informative for us music nerds! All the best!
