Anyone hope that GW does a small spin off based upon the time before the emperor, when the factions of man weren't* allied and still using unique primitiveamd forgotten weaponry? Extra edit* I think it'd be a fun idea. Many of the 40k imperium could still be used and some of the old races would have a reason to be revisited.

Hmm thats a toss up. Because of all the wards and everything els the grey knights get from their gear id give it to them. But the custodes would have an edge without all the fancy armour the grey knights get. One managed to keep a greater daemon of chaos undivided that was strong enough to severly wound big e trapped inside of his own body for some 5,000 years plus until abbadon somehow found and beat him...... story when gw!

@@micheal5973 The GK armor helps against Chaos, but they are in of themselves of unwavering purity of spirit. Many of the trials they go through to fight chaos expose them to the warp and sometimes even daemons, without their warded armor. I would say that Custodes & Grey Knights have equal resilience from corruption, armor aside. At the level of purity and resilience the armor really doesn't change the equation as they are on a scale so high above other beings that trying to quantify a difference is likely impossible. Until one of the Custodes or Grey Knights fail, it's just to be assumed that they are both roughly equal in incorruptibility and while the armor helps, the ratio change is imperceptible comparative to their base resilience.

Nolan I agree that both are op but i’ll make a caviate about them being pure and incorruptable. Grey knights purity is based off of pretty much just brain washing and pure faith. If anything shakes that faith without their armour they are done for. The custodes though are pure logic. They helped big e make the primarchs. They helped him build his webway. And theyve been fighting an unending 10,000 year war with daemons under the palace. Each one knows just what chaos is and conciously chooses to reject it and because of that there is nothing for chaos to dig its claws into.

They are Gray knights sent to Mars to learn to become tecs there sent into the inner most sanctum secretly from other chapters and the general population of Mars because Mars don't like psykers and the existence of the GK is kept very secret it's by the orders of balasarius that there allowed to get there studies there. It's all hush hush but yes there Gray knights it's in the codex

The negativity is about pronouncing. Hes reading from the 7th codex which is outdated. He doesnt even catch this and anyone else who foesnt really foesnt know their Grey Knight lore. Aurikon is not the Grandmaster of the 3rd. Hes dead. So is his successor. Voldus is the Grandmaster of the 3rd.

If Chaos knows everything who are they hiding the Knowledge of the Grey Knights from? Normally, hiding information about a unit serves to protect it from the enemies it will be fighting. What you don’t know exists can hit you harder. But if the Chaos lords know all, what’s the point in secrecy? Or am I thinking about it too much and it’s 40k after all? 😜
