Japan's southern most island is actually Minamitori-shima but ordinary people are not allowed to go. And you should have visited the western most island Yonakuni-jima where is near Hateruma, Ishigaki.

That was a great series. You’re a lovely couple, and as a long-time resident I just want to thank you for being so respectful and kind the entire time you were here. If only all tourists could be like you. Congratulations on your extreme points journey’s success! I highly recommend another go from the east-most point, also in Hokkaido, to the west-most point, also in Okinawa. It would be a great chance to take a different route and see different parts of the country. In any case, please come back to Japan anytime. Good luck on your travels. 🎏🎌🎎

@@OnePackWanderers Thanks! It's amazing. Definitely more of a slower pace than mainland. Lots of outdoor activities and history to learn about. Summers can be brutal, but hey, it's a tropical island!We've been thankful that we were given the chance to live here for a while.

Great job pushing through to the N-S goal. I've pushed on travel goals like this when I was younger, and probably the most similar one would be going from the Northern most point to the Southern most point of Indonesia. While I generally find that these goals turn out to be a big waste of time and money, it's still a great experience and gives you both a goal and a real sense of accomplishment. So good on you for making it to your goal. Just sad for all the amazing meals you might have missed out on...
@OnePackWanderers

It's definitely one of those experiences/goals that ends up being more than the sum of its parts. Was a fun little adventure 😊 As for the meals... on to the next! There's always something new to try.

I like your smiles. It makes me happy to see you enjoying your trip to Japan. I think that there are very few Japanese who have visited the northernmost tip of Japan and the southernmost tip of Japan. Japan is sometimes said to be small, but Japan is actually big. Recently, the temperature at the southernmost point of Japan is over 20 degrees Celsius, and the temperature at the northernmost point is below -10 degrees Celsius. I hope you continue to enjoy your trip. And I also enjoy watching "Tales From Our Pocket". An American couple is traveling Japan and delivering KZbin videos now.
