ItsMo congrats you are buying an older phone which has it's predecessor out already which is also older in terms of hardware and is slower and have touch wiz (one of the worst and most played skin) on Android. Well you will get a water resistant phone which is cool I guess and wireless charging which is slower than dash charge. But buying and s8 props to you man!! By the way s9 is out too.

Joy chauhan true, I believe investing in s9 is not good. Every year I used to buy oneplus, I always sold one and brought another, that is because the resale value of oneplus is not bad. If I were to buy a s9 right now for £800, then s10 comes out, I can't sell it higher than £400 or £500 since it won't interest much people. Hence why Im getting s8. When s10 comes out, I'm gonna get s9. When s11 comes out. I'm gonna get s10. I'm doing this since the resale value isn't great. I'm much happier with Samsung software. What really triggered me to move and the breaking point was that I couldnt connect to 2 Bluetooth speakers even though it had the hardware and software to do it. Samsung has one hand ui. Personally I love Samsung software, because my dad's old s7 had touchwiz with Nougat and it lagged alot. Since I got the Oreo update, it's no longer touchwiz, it's Samsung experience, and the phone is unbelievably faster as well as other Samsung users. I remember the days I used to boast about oneplus to them, I'd recommend it to them so much. Like I'm sucking them. But I had enough of their bs especially with their T series lineup. I'm much happier answering people when they'd ask me what phone do you have, instead of saying oneplus, saying Samsung is a short conversation since they already know what it is. I had enough of the days people making fun of my 5t looking like an iPhone. Anyways I hope you enjoy oneplus, but do sometimes consider in the future about Samsung. Lol 😂

Would you recommend leaving iPhone 7 plus for this. Always liked android but wanted to try out iOS too so got iPhone 7 plus but this is tempting. Trying to wait till 6T but everyday watch a video and just want to get it :( only concern is if it'll be a downgrade as iPhone 7 plus has a good camera, not sure how this'll perform. Had the op5 but the camera was pretty bad.

myNEONCITY well I don't know about immidiate updates but after I had bought op6 there has been already two upgrades and about security updates it is faster than Google offers. I was using nexus until now so I can tell. I don't know when I'll get new Android version with op6 but if you want to get nougat you can download its beta version which has op 6 in supported device so from my calculations op 6 would be getting more faster updates than of s9 at least.

Yeah good review I would say the phone is a pretty decent . I hate that we have glass backed phones but no wireless charging it seems like a waste. I wish the SIM card was a hybrid one so I could stick my SD card in and lack of dual speakers isn't a big deal but once you've had a phone with it it's hard to go back to one of those with just a okay bottom firing speaker it's kind of lousy... But yeah the price is really good with some limitations... But for me once you go over the $500 Mark I'd hunt around for sales on a more full featured Flagship phone.

Awesome phone. Really love it, but the lack of proper water resistance and a glass back and the inevitable anxiety of the OP6T releasing made me get the 64gb S9+. Also it was juat as pricy as the highest version of the OP6. So yeah, I guess my OP3 is going to be upgraded to S9+ 😂

The camera is very good. Although there is some oversaturation at times, it is very sharp. In low light it is better than its predecessor, and comparable to other 2018 flagships. (you can see reviews comparing its camera to the pixel 2 and samsung s9, etc., and it is on par in most cases).

Andre154 Then oneplus' notch is different from iPhone too. Because IP didn't do anything innovative while copying PH1. They made it even worse by widening the notch. The notch is supposed to be minimal providing just enough room for camera and earpiece module and producing greater screen:body ratio. IP excreted upon that very principle. At least Oneplus and huawei didn't do it worse.

Benedikt W You can choose on app to app basis if the app is allowed to fill the whole screen or not. Haven't tried though, I'm keeping the notch hidden and using rounded corners app to make the corners symmetric (it bothered me so much at first, but I'm glad there was an app to fix the issue).

One of big compromises in OnePlus 6 is that even though it has a full hd plus screen it is not certified for HDR 10 which all major flagship phones are. Due to this you are not able to enjoy hd videos on many services such as Netflix , Google play movies .

Vishal Gandhi you can watch HD video. The issue was widevine L1 support which they resolved later in the 5T life and required shipping the phone back. The OP6 supports widevine L1 out of the box now. HDR video is something completely different.

I don't understand what's so mind blowing about this phone. Or are you like the other reviewers sucking up to companies to get free shit? What's the "ridiculously good price"? For that price you can get an s8, or even a used s9. Both have better cameras, a wireless payment system that even in metro I use for ticket pass, better screen ( and also no spastic notch) wireless charger, better hardware support, a guarantee that you can actually use unlike oneplus' famous RMA cancer. So, the only thing going on for this device is the "speed" and the almost stock os. Like what's mind blowing here I really don't see. Why would I give my hard earned 600 bucks for this when I have better choices?
