When the video started showing the emptiness of the house then Ryan sang with his sad expression, it made the song even more sad... [Verse 1] Swear I saw your face At the coffee shop on 8th Or maybe it was in my mind? And I swear that I heard your laugh From a person that walked past me At a party the other night [Pre-Chorus] Never thought we'd ever have to go without Take you over anybody else, hands down We're the type of melody that don't fade out Don't fade out, can't fade out [Chorus] Didn't I, didn't I, didn't I love you? Didn't we, didn't we, didn't we fly? Know that I, know that I still care for you But didn't we, didn't we say goodbye? Didn't I, didn't I, didn't I love you? Didn't we, didn't we, didn't we try? Know that I, know that I still care for you Tell me why the things have to die [Verse 2] Do you remember all those plans That we made after too many drinks In the kitchen of your brother's apartment When life was like a wishin' well 4AM, I'm raisin' hell Damn, I knew you woke so well [Pre-Chorus] Never thought we'd ever have to go without Take you over anybody else, hands down We're the type of melody that don't fade out Don't fade out, can't fade out [Chorus] Didn't I, didn't I, didn't I love you? Didn't we, didn't we, didn't we fly? Know that I, know that I still care for you But didn't we, didn't we say goodbye? Didn't I, didn't I, didn't I love you? Didn't we, didn't we, didn't we try? Know that I, know that I still care for you Tell me why the things have to die [Bridge] We had a moment steady, we So much that we will never be [Chorus] Didn't I, didn't I, didn't I love you? Didn't we, didn't we, didn't we fly? Know that I, know that I still care for you But didn't we, didn't we say goodbye? Didn't I, didn't I, didn't I love you? Didn't we, didn't we, didn't we try? I think this song is more about nostalgia than a heartbreak. It is about remembering the good old times with someone, the time in which you couldn't imagine being with someone else.... and yet after a few years that person belongs to your past. You accept that and you realise you've already grown up lots since then but you can't help but reminisce and even wish that you would/could feel the same way now. The good memories never fade, but there is always a good reason why someone is in our past. We should remember that...

You'll never reed this, but just know that me and tons of other people love you, your music, every single piece of it,every word has a meaning in your songs,it passes out a message,it is well combined with the others. You know how to express yourself and give out the messages you wanna share. I don't even know how to say that, but what I wanna let you know is that you seriously are amazing, you inspire other people, your music has an incomparable level, you know how to sing and how to transform the text into reality, how to involve people in your music, let them enter in it fully and completely and turn it into reflection and personal growth, and it is not at all obvious, thank you for being yourself and for existing :)
