CMSgt Jared "Peaches" Pietras. The Ones Ready guru, motivation wellspring, and general big party in a small box. What can you say about the Chief that he hasn't already said himself?! He's a patch wearing Combat Controller and also a Chief which makes him a cross between a Unicorn and a Heffalump- but what makes him unique is his transparency and willingness to share his story.
Well, Aaron and Peaches sat down to figure out the tough questions about who Chief Peaches really is. Why he got in, what kept him motivated during the pipeline as a 17 year old kid, and of course a healthy dose of war stories and general tomfoolery.

In my day we were Cold War, so Nuclear Weapons Specialist seemed logical. Great point on being the best at what you do. Minot AFB Professional Performer, Outstanding Unit with oak cluster and best MMS in Air Force 1984 is a point of pride, but so so different from what you young dudes have done. Tip of the cap.

I wonder how many afspecwar people read and watch anime/manga. This episode is dope! I'm a shorter guy (5'7) but I was wondering how diverse is afspecwar and if you guys can touch upon the experiences of everyone there. I am currently training for pararescue and as an Asian american I have not seen anyone in my community be in afspecwar. I'm definitely hoping to be one of the few on the team in the future.
