Onew voice is something out of this world, and did you know he wrote the lyrics? I believe with someone else, this song can be interpreted in so many ways, I can feel Onew talking to Jonghyun I know it feels weird and I can't believe it all has to do with him but that's what it felt when I heard and read the lyrics Fan fact is how 3 years ago Onew gave us the Voice album to help us this time of year, he did it again with this song, as I say all the time, Onew and Jonghyun's voices give me warmth and strength in the way they can convey emotions. They're good technically, but more than that, they have this power to show what they're feeling and that's not something every good singer can do, no matter how technically good a singer is if he can't convey emotions, he it's still good but he will never be so great and special This song is so beautifully made both did a great job

he wrote it with kim eana! she wrote "if you love her" on 1and1, IU's "good day", and said she almost wrote view but jonghyun's lyrics were picked over hers. she's a big fan of his music and in august 2018 did a radio episode celebrating him saying that talking about him shouldn't be an uneasy topic. she was also mc for the shiny foundation's shiny arts festival this year

Onew wrote this song's lyric with a Korean top lyricist, who had worked many time with Jonghyun. They both went through hard time since we all know when. Before Onew's enlistment in military duty in 2018, they created this song together and recorded, but some reason this song wasn't in his solo album. I guess this song is about his love for Jonghyun, One Star (the Korean title). According to the lyric, he was suffered from the loss with full of regret but he now takes comfort from the fact that they are still walking way together. I hope all Shawol feel in peace in this December. I believe that's what Onew's wish too.

That's good to know, I really felt weird when I commented before that this song made me feel like he was talking to Jonghyun and I felt like maybe I was wrong, my feelings were because I miss him more these days than usual,

Omg i missed seeing SHINee content from you. About the lack of Onew songs, that's actually not the case. While it's true he only has one album so far, he has recorded SM station songs and many OSTs. This year alone he has released 3 kdrama OSTs, 2 songs from his musical, and this one, not to mention he participated in Sea of Hope, a show where he sang and did duet with many singers including AKMU's Suhyun and Blackpink's Rosé. Really looking forward for more SHINee, especially Onew

Onew often says he performs the best when he is emotional, and I think that reflects very clearly in the way he sings which makes him an exceptional performer. You should watch Selene 6.23 he sang with SWJA on Sea of Hope. The goosebumps!!! 😭

Two songs that get me in the feels every time are Onew’s and Jonghyun’s Please Don’t Go and their cover of Tragedy. Sooo good. I love all of SHINee’s vocals but these two have some of my favorite voices in all of Kpop and music in general and when they sing duets together my brain just ajdbeheheidbrkso, in a good way of course 😊

As you may know, "One Star (Way)" is a pre-release single that Onew released especially for fans to tide us over until the release of his second solo album sometime in the first part of next year. And this was the perfect song to do that with. His album was supposed to be released in September, but things have been delayed. As you saw from the lyric video, the song is about a couple who is longing to be reunited with each other. As the song goes along the two realize their love is bound by fate. As the lyrics of the chorus say, “At a slightly different time / In the invisible world / One star in the same room / You and I have one name and one face.” Knowing that Onew wrote the lyrics for this song makes it that much more beautiful and emotional. I can really feel him putting his whole heart into this song and performance. This is such a perfect song for this time of year. Full of the warm and fuzzy feelings for the holidays. I think this song is destined to become a new Kpop holiday classic. It's definitely going on my holiday playlist, and it will be one I recommend anytime someone asks me for holiday song recommendations. The chills I get listening to this song seem to only grow everytime I hear it, I'm not sure I will ever become numb to the beauty of their voices and the feeling this song creates. This song really highlights what an amazing vocalists Onew is and it showcases how hard he has been working lately with his vocal training. He has always been an amazing singer, but this just shows how he is continuously pushing himself to become even better. Onew has recently said he has been focusing on his vocal training, experimenting with new ways of singing in order to showcase his full vocal range. He is now feeling more responsibility as one of SHINee's main vocalist to make sure he is able to maintain the same vocal quality that he is known for, as he ages. However, Onew is known in the industry as the male vocalist with the most consistent vocals. He has been one of SHINee's main vocalists since debut and he is recognized as one of the top vocalists in Kpop since even before debut. Onew was only one of two people ever personally cast by Lee SooMan, the founder of SM, and he was chosen at age 16 for his outstanding vocal ability. Onew's vocals are so good that as a rookie he was even a vocal coach and mentor to a lot of SM's trainees. Punch's and Onew's voices are perfect together, and I couldn't imagine a better pairing for this song. But truthfully, who doesn't sound amazing singing with Onew? He is one of the most coveted male vocalists in the industry that all singers dream of getting the chance to sing with. And if you have ever seen him on programs such as Sea of Hope, you have seen how he can be paired with almost anyone and somehow his voice is able to highlight the other singers' voices, and take the song to a whole new level, no matter their vocal style. He has such impressive vocal talent and understanding of how to use his voice that he has the ability to compliment the vocal timbre and style of anyone he is singing with.

I love this song so much. Onew - my favorite voice! And Punch is so good too! Awww SHINee!! Jinki's voice is one of my favorite voices ever. His new solo album was supposed to come out in September but kept getting delayed and he says it's coming out next year probably by spring time. There's a live version of this song if you want to check it out. He also recently performed live versions of his songs Under the Starlight and Shine on You from his first album and of one of his OSTs called Dear My Spring. It was for this program called Korea on Stage. Please check those out too, his vocals are amazinggggg. His birthday is coming up on the 14th! Also, it was Minho's birthday on Dec 9th! He will have a fan meeting offline and online on the 21st! He said he will release a new song at the fan meeting and the MV and choreo has already been filmed! I'm so excited! 😊

Onew's voice is one of my favourite things in the world. Thanks for the reaction. There's a live version too which is even more perfect. I dare you to watch it not feel you hear flutter watching Onew haha Onew released some OSTs this year, also participated in a musical and he sang so many songs in Sea of Hope. Actually you missed 2 of Onew's other SM station singles during SHINee-tember these are 'Starry Night' and 'Lullaby' both of them have mv's so I'd suggest checking them out. He's also got a bunch of musical and drama OST's.

When I first heard the teaser i knew I was gna love it, I didn't know Punch so I was a bit worried but then again Onew is able to fit his voice with anyone. This song just brings me so much peace and calmness, I haven't stopped listening to it from it came out. He really understands his fans and that's what I really love about him, he said he wanted to give us something warm in this cold time and he really did just that. Also, I loved and always love your reactions bcuz I can tell you genuinely love our boys and I'm very much appreciative of that ☺️ waiting for another one 😁

I love Onew's voice. I agree with you that it is unique. I read that IU said that if she were a male, she would want to sing like him. She said his voice "rings the heart." I can't think of a better way to put it. Funny thing is, I think her voice does the same thing.

He also recently sang couple of his songs from his voice album for the first time live on Korea On Stage the songs under the starlight and shine on you which he wrote lyrics. And one of his ost from this year dear my spring. There’s also a live video of this song “way”. He wrote this few years ago before he went into military but never released it. He re-recorded it. Being that this was written few years ago I’d assume it’s about jonghyun but it can be a variety of things. His album comes out around spring. He is releasing another song this month. Minho has a song/mv coming out in couple weeks as well. He has given us a lot of singing content this year. Have you watched his sea of Hope covers? Amazing! You can also listen to his musical ost’s from midnight sun: goodbye days, meet me when the sun goes down. And has 4 ost’s this year
