Not sure where the idea of Dante's original continuity VA being some hermit came form. Reuben Langdon who does old Dante's mocap and voice is actually a professional stuntman and martial artist. Healso does mocap for Street Fighter and voices Ken, in addition to doing mocap for Resident Evil 5 and other voices in games. He was even in Last of Us as a mook.

DMC4 had some glaring issues and was obviously rushed, but they didn’t address any of its problems with the new version. Also I wouldn’t be opposed to the new characters if some of the levels in 4 didn’t feel so draining to go through. Them new character kits were nice to get into tho, excluding maybe Lady. Also I was talking a bit out my ass in that last comment’s first sentence since I forgot special edition added in some new modes and turbo mode. Those’re always welcome additions

I do genuinely enjoy Devil May Cry 4, but it is very clearly an unfinished product. I'd say the special edition fixes it a little bit because you have three additional characters to play as, but you're still just playing through the exact same levels. While it doesn't offer much in terms of content, the gameplay is super fun and fine-tuned.

Actually the reason why you have to refrigerate eggs in the US is because they acid wash them, which breaks down the shell and makes them rot quicker... but they look nicer! Most other places leave them as they are, which is why you don't have to refrigerate them to keep them fresh, but you still can to keep them going even longer.

DMC4 is half finished, but that half that's finished is one of the best action games of all time, the other half is filler. I hate that they say that the whole game sucks. It's honestly a mixed bag, there's really really good bits, but awful copy and paste filler too. And that lesser half of 4 was a necessity to get the game out the door. The game was originally gonna be an exclusive, but capcom decided it had to be multiplat in the middle of development to make more money, then they didn't give them a higher budget or more time to compensate for suddenly doubling the work load on DMC4s dev team. DmC: dmc's highs all reach an average to very slightly intermediate level, and its lows are a product of incompetence. The director of 2, 3, and 4 had to fly over to the DmC devs and help them finish the game because they were so incompetent. That's probably partially why dragon's dogma came out half baked, cause it was in development at the time. Rebooting DMC just might've been the dumbest, most damaging fucking decision that capcom's ever made.

Fun fact from a farm girl 38:00 eggs can be left out of the fridge if fresh as they are made with a film around the shell that keeps it "fresh." look! an opinion on the internet that won't change anything but enjoy it anyway! I played the entire series blind over the last year in order. Devil may cry 1 - its fun, but age hasn't been good to it on a technical level. (example: movement controls changing depending on the camera angles) Devil may cry 2 - really brain dead, levels tended to overstay their welcome, with health sponge bosses. Devil may cry 3 - the world, narrative, and premise where awesome. But the gameplay felt more time wasting than actually challenging (especially certain bosses). no real practice mode to try out new stuff with at first, you were tied to one sword, gun, and style per mission. Devil may cry 4 - much cleaner than what came before it, was the reason i came to like the series after the first 3 games, it just lacked variety when it. you had lots of different characters, but you just played the same campaign over and over again. and the awakened dante/nero/vergil was DLC for some reason) DmC - its not outright bad as a game, its just so drastically different artistically, you could just change some names and you could call it a new IP. Otherwise you just have weird moments like watching a pregnant women's womb wriggle about until you fight a giant demon baby fetus. paired with the dialouge...It's just weird. Devil may cry 5 - the best in the series so far. it felt good, pacing was thought out, you could change your tools on the fly, and the levels where you played as other characters were done with those characters in mind rather than 4's excuse to repeat the story over and over again, just with someone else.

Quick weapon switching was in DMC3 as well, you could bring two swords and two guns into a mission. The Switch version also added style switching, but that was way after the fact and the game wasn't made for it, so I'd understand not counting that. The super costumes in DMC4 were unlockable in game by beating Dante Must Die difficulty, the DLC was just an easier/quicker unlock.

DmC's biggest issue was being all serious and edgy as well as how easy the gameplay was. It was smooth and neat overall but that grapple tool and stupid RED VS BLUE mechanic made it hyper easy and boring. I've platinumed them all and the reboot is an easy platinum while the others are pretty hard.

I probably would've remembered the 2 swords and guns per mission on 3 as well had i did a second play through, though i was just happy to have been done with it after a while.

Man, I like this game a lot. I hate that people are still bashing it 7 years out. Maybe I'd understand it if DMC were still dead, but DMC 5 was great. The series is alive, DmC didn't kill shit. It's just a somewhat failed experiment with a cheesy story and really fun gameplay.
