I love how whenever Zach lies, almost every time, it doesn't take much time for Oney (and co) to call him out as soon as he starts to elaborate. But Zach has been so easy to gaslight that whenever he learns something new, he immediately gets paranoid about buying into it

i think one of my favorite types of these interactions is when corey says something absurd that would be almost approximately correct if he hadnt unconsciously subbed out the correct words for similar sounding, incorrect words. it's an extremely nuanced form of misinformation and even he's not aware he's doing it.

I've been an OneyPlays fan for quite a lot of years. And I won't lie, for a very long time my very gullible self had a pretty hard time realizing when they were doing a bit, and I'd think that what they said during those was stuff they meant. I'm so happy OneyPlays will be getting more attention thanks to the references in Smiling Friends. It's a very unique kind of gaming channel, but that's probably part of why it seemed almost like a niche for people who watch let's plays (or at least I think that's how they see it), despite being pretty popular

Problem with this is that anyone who has ever had kids knows their balls twitch when they ejaculate and ancient peoples knew from farming animals and their own brutality etc that cutting the testes off prevents being able to have kids. So everyone would always have known. Still a decent fabrication though.

Gaslighting can also be considered "psychological warfare" which is one of my favorite thing to do when playing strategy games. A shame you can't do that to npcs in games, most of them are too clueless to even function, much less be gaslit.

You gotta go find iron/coal in the mountains after the new update! They get more common spawns with higher altitudes. Stony Peaks biomes are perfect since it shows them exposed at the surface but really any mountains will do

Omg when they brought up Indian in the Cupboard I just about lost my sh*t. When I was a wee early 90s bahby I watched that movie and omg, I had the plastic figurine AND the key!! If I remember correctly, the VHS case doubled as a pretend cupboard with a fake lock on the side... I think, I am not 100% sure, that was a long time ago. I remember my tiny dumb brain thinking, I am gonna close this and when I open it I will have my own small friend. You can imagine my disappointment when it did not actually happen lol!! 😅
