This is my first motovlog from Mozambique. Right after crossing the border I had problems with the fuel pump, but a local mechanic in Tete took care of it. The rest of the video is about new friendships and the long way down through Mozambique.

In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.
Throughout my journey, I was raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. Sehr schön! Ne schöne Tour habt Ihr da gemacht, die 40 Minuten Film die daraus entstanden sind finde ich keinesfalls zu lang. Tolle Aufnahmen, das lange emotionsgeladene Musikstück passt hervorragend dazu. Vieles was Ihr gefahren seid kenne ich von meinen Schweiz-Urlauben in den beiden Jahren davor und danach, das wenigste davon auf Video festgehalten. Schön, dass nochmal nachzufahren. It is the first time I watch a video prepared by you. I was born in Mozambique long time ago, more specifically in Nampula. I lived for many years in what nowadays is called Chimoio, in Beira and in Maputo. It was a beautiful, beautiful country. I left it in 1963 and never returned. I prefer to keep the good memories of those days, but Mozambique is still in my heart. You are very brave. Good luck.

Fabulous video Kinga. You must be the luckiest person on the planet to have such fantastic mechanics to fix your problem for you so professionally, and they let you in their workshop area, to film if you please. I tryed to do the same thing in NZ to keep an eye on my motorbike, however they wouldn't allow me to stay in the workshop and in fact refused to carry out any work on it until I left. This was despite the fact that the last time I went in for some work they dropped my motorbike on the sliding door and put a dent in my tank-failed to do a pre delivery inspection properly as my tyre's were practically flat when I got home, and the tappet's haven't being done as per recommended service @ 490 ks. Altogether pretty rubbish. They also sent me off on a new bike with a damaged front wheel-knowing it was damaged. I then had to make a special trip (2 hours ride to next town), at my expense to get the wheel replaced from another bike in the showroom. You should have a filter in your tank filler to stop the crap going in at the source. I have one on my MG3 car. A great idea.

Back to Africa! Here in Thailand small BBQs at side of road things on a stick, chicken, pork, all sorts of chicken innards generally all very tasty. Great to see your bike get sorted, it’s amazing the knowledge of some of these guys, never pre judge shops by appearances. Looks like you will soon be in SA, good luck, drive safe.

Good hotel to recharge, plus sleeping on a table again you cover it all ha har. The pool looked refreshing for you.
