Three Solo ADV Riders Meetup in Cape Maclear, Malawi - EP. 80

This is my last episode from Malawi and the story of how I met Adam and Juan. We hung out together for 3 days at the Cape Maclear and did a bit of riding, but mostly we were chilling at the lake and had the best laughs! This video is a good example of how easily you can make friendships, when you're travelling solo!

In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.
Throughout my journey, I was raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. I always try to follow you and other travel vlogs on Google Earth as I learn so much more doing it. Sometimes things fall into place because of various landmarks, other times it's impossible. Your little map showed me where you were trying to take a short cut and got lost, and zooming in on the area, it was easy to understand why. Again I really enjoyed the "ride along" with you and again thank you for all the effort you put into making these videos. Cheers.

Great companions when we meet on the roads around the world. I met a dude in Norway (at a Servo) and although neither of us understood each other, we spent a whole day riding together and had heaps of fun, before he had to turn off and go east to Sweden and I went north.....to Noordkaap.

Nice to see you meet with the other riders. In this video I want to say I enjoyed the left pannier position for the camera. To me it did a very good job of capturing the movement of the bike and rider on the rough terrain. So often the GoPro "flatten out" the terrain> Please be safe and have fun. 73, Mike

Funny how some people can't understand how a landscape which to them looks boring, can be fascinating. When we toured Australia in a camper van we spent days driving through the bush etc. It's because it looks the same, is so enjoyable.
