Quick question....can you become an OBM with just a concentration on specific project management tools? Or would you need to offer other things such as SOP's, task organization, etc..?

Hi Olivia, 03:11 is where it's shared about it not being necessary to be the multi-disciplinary personel, you can specialise as well. In a nutshell, you'll definitely need to be the client's point of contact when it comes to SOPs and relevant executionary activities but you can choose to be a double or triple threat in your field, if you feel like leveling up. Please note: I'm not from team Virtual Savvy, only replied to this focused yet potential holding query. Great video! I enjoyed the updated financial income numbers as it changes through the years and I remember hearing Sarah in the Virtual Savvy a little while back. Would you say OBM title/term also falls in line with the Operations Manager? @sarahnokedobm

There could definitely be some overlap!

This is a common role that OBMs fill as we do a lot for businesses in terms of setting up and implementing SOPs. But OBMs can do other things as well, like team management, book jeeping, etc and we are seen as the go-to person for the Business Owner when it comes to talking strategy and growth. So Ops Management falls under the umbrella of OBM!
