I am new. The piece you said was puke yellow orange in the beginning is awesome! You could make a wild cat of some kind or a Halloween scene. Mix it with a cathedral magenta and emerald green, some gray and brown. 💜 I loved that one! .... okay going to watch the rest of the video now. 🤗

Thank you SO MUCH for the tip on LeslyesGlass the glass is SPECTACULAR ... TRUE EYE CANDY!!!!!! I live out in the boonies of WI and its very annoying to always drive 2 hours to go glass shopping. It was great to see how the glass was packed keep those coming even if they are just 2 minutes. TIPS ON WHERE TO GET GOOD QUALITY SUPPLIES IS ALWAYS APPRECIATED ... So beautiful, I was looking forward to seeing these and you did not disappoint. First batch, they just bundled ends, odd mix for sure. Second batch, that plum cranberry grape is awesome, so is the 🔥 piece. Third batch, blood orange piece is stunning. Great job showing us the joys and baby pukes of buying without seeing and touching. I guess you can experiment on the parts of the pieces you don't like quite so much. Some folk would just sell those on to a beginner. Thanks Makenzie! Have a great weekend everyone

I'm gonna make the hour drive to Kokomo for some glass at some point but I was reading Amazon reviews and everyone was complaining about the quality of the glass with air bubbles and scratches etc. Just wondering if you were affected by that at all in your early days and do those things really affect the work someone is able to create?

Hi Makenzie! Thank you so much for this video! I appreciate all your videos they help me so much.. A quick question, I ordered from Lesley on Etsy and found multiple of the pieces had scratches in it, one of the pieces had multiple pieces. Since you got a scratch in yours, im curious, should I say something to her? Does this frequently happen? Is there anything I can do or is it just kind of expected to have that happen?
@MakenzieHallie3 жыл бұрын
Hello! If you have any issues I would reach out to her! As mentioned I don't shop for glass online anymore so for as it being frequent, I cannot say. If its basic small scratches, thats expected with glass. But if its unusable then yes I would reach out to her!

I do not share or recommend any chains or jump rings. Use your knowledge of what metals can, and cannot, be soldered! 🖤

Yeah-- any "variety" glass packs always have a couple of WTF?s. The icky shades of brown probably exist for those who do landscape or forest scenes, and need tonal variations. And if you do portraits, the non-iridescent sides can be used for skin tone shading. So, not completely useless or ugly, if you can find a way to use them. Saying that, once I got a fairly good stock of glass in the beginning, I started to only buy what I saw that I liked, instead of the packs where you take pot luck.
@wanderingheathen82903 жыл бұрын
What would you make using these small sheets ? They're almost an awkward size.... I ordered a glass pack, 4x6 and they're so small...not even sure what to do with them. 😂 Is there any way you can show us how to fit/cut the most bang for our buck on those tiny sheets? 😌🤔🤩
