A loop pedal is a dream for me. I love Cici Powell's looped bass solo compositions (which i recommend checking out, ethereal playing) which i aspire to recreate one day. I can see how amazing they are for practice too.

More looper exercises would be great. Bought one awhile ago, but unfortunately haven't been very successful using it. Thanks

I just bought this from Sweetwater this week. Haven't had a chance to use it, but will this weekend. I'd love to hear more on using this pedal in regular practice.

I've been fascinated with loop pedals lately and am researching and familiarizing myself with the market. A loop video would be way cool.

I have that looper. I wish the recording would start when the foot is lifted.

Totally agree, this is a very useful tool. It helped me a lot when I started improvising on bass.

Had a couple of your vids pop up in my feed and I gotta say I think you definitely deserve to get more views and subs! I really appreciate the way you start out musical/theory concepts starting with the more intuitive way of understanding it then zoom out to the more textbook stuff to add additional context. This is the kind of lessons I was looking for on KZbin, just wanna say I appreciate your work and I look forward to watching more! Cheers bud!

Nice lesson. Looper pedals are awesome. I've made many loops based on lessons from your soul and courses. More like this please 🙏🏽

You should have an LED that flashes the beat that you establish. Just like tap control on other pedals. My Fender Rumble 40 Studio has a loop feature but I guess until I put a stopwatch up against it I'm never going to really know exactly when the 60 seconds is up. I suppose one could use a metronome to do the same thing

Thanks for yet another inspirational video! I picked up a Ditto about a year ago and it’s added a lot of fun to my practice routine. It’s also got me working more on my modes/scales all over the fretboard.

Hey Dan, I was looking for a pedal to spice up my practicing. This looks like a good one. Maybe do more videos like this with all kinds of pedals. I was thinking about a sustain or reverb pedal. It was nice to see you messing up a bit. You’re still learning like the rest of us. 👍🏻👏🏻🙏🏻😎

That was awesome Dan! You inspired me again man! I just ordered via Amazon a Lekato looper with 9 loops & 40 min rec time & built in tuner too. Was cheaper than the Dito & coming tomorrow! Two days off work & so keen now! Can’t wait to learn how to use it. Would appreciate more awesome looping chords & what you play over them please! 🙏👌🎵🎸🎼

It’s something that definitely takes practice. If I wanted to get really good at this, I’d do it over and over again for hours over how ever long it takes to master it. I’ll probably just butcher it for now though. 😂

Great lesson. A very good short cut to making real music. I think my timing on the pedal may be the limiting factor however.

It’s something you can work on. Just do it over and over again and then practice some more! Consistency is key. You can do it!

Hi Ferdinand! I think I played a low E, 7th fret A string E and then one an octave above that one.

Just got a looper and it is tough! Very frustrating and wasn’t even sure what to get play but this helps Could you maybe do a video on how to get out of a creative rut? Like I’ve gone back to practice with backing tracks I haven’t used in awhile but almost always end up playing something similar. How do you get out of these patterns of playing the same things even if they do sound pretty good?
@OnlineBassCourses Жыл бұрын
That’s a good idea - I’ll look into it… 🙏

im really struggling to seeing the use case of this in practice. could you explain a bit how using this is different to using a metronome? im a beginner myself so im definitely not trying to say i know better lol
@OnlineBassCourses Жыл бұрын
A metronome is a tool as is this. With a looper, I can explore melody, harmony, and rhythm, I can compose, I can make practice a lot more fun and musical sounding.
