The biggest problem with the Grand Slam qualifier is the fact that the 8 players only need to win 3 or 4 games to qualify, while winning 7 games in a tougher Players Championship field isn't enough. If the PDC really want to have qualifiers, why can't they just designate 8 Pro Tour events throughout the year to double function as Grand Slam qualifiers? All Tour Card holders already have the opportunity to play these events, they don't need an extra qualifier.

He loved the crowd's interaction and he loved giving it back. Not sure on the racism angle. I remember seeing Jocky Wilson and the banter he got. Jocky just gave the crowd a smile and a wink. I think Gerwyn maybe needs to play with a smile on his face. It's just entertainment at the end of the day.

Mase on about people giving so much to the sport - yet digs out The Darts Referee who has brought so many new people to the sport from a social media point of view. I like Mase but as somebody who has gone through mental health issues himself a few years back, digging people out that maybe struggling at the moment and are literally all about the sport is a bad look in my opinion. I gather its a beef from a few years back but even so move on with life it's too short.
