The fact that the first woman cried when she wasn’t even the primary victim of the civil rights movement…. It must have been so horrible to witness, let alone be a part of.
@MadMage19932 жыл бұрын
I was born 1993 and even I felt moved by that woman's experience. I am blessed to not have been there to witness so much hate back then, but I would be lying if I didn't say I have seen that hate but in a smaller dose RIGHT to my face. I can't imagine seeing the world we live in now and then seeing the 60's that woman just mentioned. Even though she wasn't the primarily victim of that memory, the way her old neighbors just turned on her family for showing just a little kindness shows that she suffered. Amazing how far we have come as a society and how much further we have to go. I just hope that kindness and tolerance continues to grow and spread.
@KL-ki8db Жыл бұрын
Well I would argue she became a primary victim when her awful neighbors started discriminating against her when she welcomed the marginalized group of people in town.

@Goose Bumps The little girl may have on headphones for the scene, but if you believe she's not aware of the conversation and its content...then you are naive. Again, the child is a professional actor and most likely quite mature for her young age. She had access to the same script in order to follow along with the scene' s dialog. There are thousands of child actors who are involved in extremely dramatic and real life storytelling that affects the audience emotionally deep. It's their job to convey those real life emotions regardless of their age. It's art imitating life. So at one point, a young child was actually confronted with these horrible things in life such as being called the N-word and suffering physical brutality at the hands of another. This is the UGLY world that we live in.

My husband and I adopted a back boy and an Asian girl. My husband’s grandmother stated that we should have just waited for a white baby when we adopted our son. You know what happened? We finally let him meet her, and my sweet boy stole her heart. He’s the sweetest baby in the world. And I know he is going to continue to break down the barriers of racism simply by being himself. Now she’s in love with him, at 88 years old her heart changed.

@The Truth I am genuinely sorry if I sounded proud. But even Adam and Eve weren't created from a single type of dust, dust comes in many forms may it be white,brown,black or all in between. You can't just ignore what is true. You may paint me as evil or a hater but races do exist you can't ignore something which is quite apparent a black person differs than a white person on my levels and it's true but assuming a black person is less than a white person is absolutely wrong. Please don't try to ignore something factual with mere emotions.
@romanatkins71825 жыл бұрын
@The Truth I totally get where you are coming from But you can't deny something which is simple biology. God created many variations of genes for our own protection. Black people are black because Africa is a really hot continent with high hours of sunlight while white people originate from countries with cooler weathers. I meant no disrespect to anyone. I was trying to point out the truth nothing wrong in that. We have to overcome our differences but in a more truer manner, people usually sound dumb when they try to ignore their God given knowledge. Its your own personal decision to look beyond colour but I personally think that the stigmas associated with these races should be eradicated rather than just comforting ourselves with lies because at the end of the day a black person is black while a white person is white, and if you deny this than you yourself are an hypocrite.
@romanatkins71825 жыл бұрын
@The Truth Africans are dark skinned due to high content of melanin in their skin epidermal and dermal tissue. The African continent has the highest UV radiation in the planet so it's no coincidence that darker skin will absorb and emit more radiation than a light skinned person could, this is basic biology and physics. If you don't want to view god's grace with the gift of science then only God can help u indeed.

Yes but I gave a child up for adoption and I get tired of people acting like the birth parents never existed. I didn't give up my son because I don't love him, I was young and unprepared but every time I ask his adoptive mom how he's doing she's super rude to me. I signed the paperwork with the agreement that I would get pictures and updates and she's not doing that. I have a 14 month old son now so yes, I am raising a child. However, people need to stop treating birth parents like they couldn't possibly know what it's like to have a child and YES, GIVING BIRTH DOES MAKE YOU A MOTHER. You did the hard work of growing and birthing a baby and that deserves recognition. The adoptive parents need to stop acting like we never existed and pretending like those kids are theirs from nature. Remember this adoptive parents and people who wanna say that we're not parents, WITHOUT US YOU WOULDN'T HAVE YOUR KIDS!!!! Remember and appreciate that we made a huge sacrifice for you that comes with a lot of stigma and judgement for us.

Yes, a child adopted by parents of another race might miss out on important cultural experiences. But the child having a safe, loving home is more important! Besides, they can still participate in their culture and the adoptive parents can research how to include that culture in their home!
@michealtomelloso39122 жыл бұрын
Love has no color,anyone can have love for a child and there should't be any barrier's for them,if a family adopts a child from another race,it should be up to the child, because if the child grows up and starts being more comfortable with the family then they shouldn't be deprived,l was with a Black Woman for over 15 years,and l was with her when one of her nephews was born and he grew up knowing me like a real uncle,so the same way he sees me would probably would be the same way the kid would feel if grew up knowing his adopted parents,a kids happiness is very significant.

Wish people stood up for others in the Netherlands....people are so openly racist in the Netherlands. I was once told by a Dutch couple to "go back to my own country" in a Dutch cafe just because I was speaking in English to my father (even though I am Dutch) and then when we told them they were offensive and racist, they threatened to kill my father and got full support from all the other Dutch customers in the cafe.....another Dutch customer even said out loud in front of us to the offensive Dutch couple that they were glad that they did not "sit next to people like us" and the Dutch manager of the cafe kicked us out of the restaurant for complaining about the racist and offensive Dutch couple and he apologised to THEM about US when WE were abused by them! The Netherlands is an extremely racist country and the Dutch deny it by saying that they are "tolerant people".....just search on KZbin Hollands Got talent and a judge called "Gordon" (real name: Gordon Heuckeroth) and see his openly racist remarks to a Chinese opera singer contestant..........he represents the way Dutch people are extremely openly racist to anyone they consider as "foreign"..........
