I bought one of those rods and I put a diawa reel on it and it's a cool set up to leave in the car.. I also bought the $30 dollar OZ.trail spinning combo and it works awsome!

Have you had any problems with the rod itself?

@@pnwfishinggarage Little late, but I personally have owned this rod and used it extensively for just under 4 months. The rod seems to hold up fairly well, but I still try to be easy on it any time I get hung up or hook into a big fish (which is rare anyway). Overall definitely worth $20 bucks. Definitely get a new reel though.

Wife grabbed one. It's ok but uncomfortable in my hand. The OTX combo is much more comfortable in the hand and much better quality.

I agree with this, I will be testing some Of the other telescopic rods to see if spending 30 bucks more gives you a better feel, everyone is different but I’m very excited about doing the testing. I love the OTX combo, have you tried the OTX pro?
