With all the negative information concerning grains published today, Sue brings a timely message on the truth about wheat, grains and gluten. She shares the history of white flour and its effects on our health, as she discusses the correlation of the bread we eat and the common health issues that plaque most of us.
After more than 30 years of study, Sue is more convinced than ever that whole grains are the key to good health. Sue's presentation is both informative and encouraging, and we are confident that you will find value in this presentation.

I have been doing a healthy version of 'Keto' for about 2 years now, and weight wise, it's been very successful. However, I am also a Born-Again Christian, and Bread is considered the 'Enemy' on the Keto plan. I had such a problem trying to reconcile if Bread is so bad for our body, then why would Jesus proclaim its Goodness, both physically and spiritually? FINALLY I came to realize, with your help, that HE WOULDN'T! The REAL Enemy is the so-called bread/flour in our homes, grocery stores, restaurants, etc....It's stripped of God's Goodness! I actually did lose a lot of weight when I quit eating 'bread, pasta, cereals, etc..., and I felt pretty good. Come to find out, I was on the right track by quitting those unhealthy foods, but I was off track about the real physical Bread. Yesterday I ground real wheat berries in my blender, and hand-made 2 loaves of real Bread. It was Delicious! It's no coincidence that I was led to your channel, and now I'm going to shout from the rooftops! Thank you for all you do, and have done, for the 'Cells' (Body of Christ).

HUGE PRAISE THE LORD!!!! After less than 3 weeks milling my own grain, making my own bread and eating it with every meal, my husband had his blood drawn last Friday and saw his cardiologist this morning. He said she acted surprised by his bloodwork, is having him take one of his medicines every other day instead of everyday, told him to ‘keep up the good work’ AND doesn’t want to see him back for 10 months!!!!!!! Folks, just give it a try.

Dear Sue; I have never- in my entire life- watched a presentation that touched, moved and educated me more. Nor have I ever seen a presenter who could so skillfully and humbly merge ministry with vital educational enrichment as you have done here. I cannot thank you enough for what you have given to me this day. Please know that I will definitely pay it forward. I intend to share this video with everyone...."For Such A Time As This." Keep doing what you're doing: the world needs you as the Lord's instrument. In Heaven you will learn just how many prisoners you have freed. I am but one.

John 6:35... Jesus says, "I am the BREAD of life." I've always thought, geeez if bread was that bad, why would our Lord break bread with his disciples and called himself the bread of life? Bread, I believe, too, if done the right way is nutritious.

This is absolutely one of the most amazing, impactful, powerful, and life-changing health videos I have ever watched. I was lead to your book by what most would call a random chance in a video of a woman whom I had never watched before talking about how she mills her own grain. I had never heard of this before and really liked the idea of having a storable food supply on hand... Times are looking shorter and shorter before Messiah returns. Anyway, I looked for your book; completely sold out for months. But that didn't stop me from buying grain, and a mill. And finally, you book became available and I bought one ❤️ Then THIS video. If I could PAY my family to watch it and pray that it would change their lives and save them, I would. The information here was amazing, and the times you brought Jesus being the bread of life... And how the bread we eat now is actually killing us, I actually cried 😭 Thank you for stepping out in faith all those years ago. I pray to one-day meet you and that I have my own testimony of how God transformed my life with the Bread of Life.... Jesus, and actual, incredible, bread ❤️

Like many of the comments here, I came upon your video quite by accident. My husband has been struggling with fatty liver, lethargy, bowel issues, and more. I have been thinking about buying a mill and grinding my own flour, as well as making my own butter, eating organic only as much as possible. For me when you said this will help vericose viens my heart rejoiced. I have always known that God made our bodies to heal and knew that this planet held all we needed to be healthy. I have been praying and am so excited that this is EXACTLY what He has been putting on my heart and am eager to get baking! So, in the end, I realize this wasn't an 'accident' that I found your video because God directs my steps and leads me step-by-step in the way I should go!"

Thank you so much for your insight Sue! You had me in tears when you drew your depiction of God as O2 we are the cells etc. I can't help but think of Genesis 3:18. AMAZING!! God bless you for your obedience in sharing this information and these testimonies Sue! 12 years ago, in the midst of a health crisis, God grabbed hold of me and set me on His path of healing. He began to teach me how to live and eat the way He intended when He designed and created us. Today He used YOU to reveal to me a new element of His beautiful design. I am just blown away!! I always wondered why Jesus would compare himself to bread, when bread seemed to be so unhealthy. Of COURSE the bread of today is unhealthy…we’ve made it into something completely different! It all makes sense now! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

How often should we be baking? I have started making fresh, milled bread for my family but I prefer to bake ahead (since we have soccer games, golf lessons, church, etc…and we aren’t always at home)… But how soon are the nutrients depleted? I’m wondering if I should bake in smaller batches for maximum nutrition, or if there is a way to preserve the nutrients so they don’t get depleted before we consume them. My hair has stopped falling out, so I know this is working for us. Thanks for your help.

I’ve been making our bread for about a year and a half now. And we always thought the bread was ‘good homemade bread, without the extra crap’… which it was, for what I knew then, I bought organic, and only used flour, water, yeast, salt and oil. I was talking bread with someone and she mentioned she ‘used to mill her own grains’…. I didn’t ask anything right then (assuming I need a whole grain mill building🤣). So I hopped on the KZbin, and I came across this video. And immediately couldn’t stop watching it. We sat as a family and watched the entire thing. Even pausing for potty breaks. We had already purchased our stone mill, and we had the berries. But I didn’t know what to do with them. Lol. My bread recipe didn’t work with my new found flour. So I got your book, (so well written by the way, and I love all your ‘optional, and alternatives’. I’ve shared this video with people I know who are trying to better their health and are conscious what they put in their bodies. They have been grateful! You are a wonderful woman Sue!!! Thank you!!!

Both myself and my mother prayed last night that answers would present themselves. My mom found Bread Beckers just this month and has been making bread for my dad and brother. My mom made fresh milled Einkorn bread that I am trying. I am very sick when it comes to food. I eat only a few things and am allergic to just about everything. I cannot eat even trace amounts of wheat without having to use my inhaler multiple time a day for a week. Then for a month I would be in so much pain and brain fog that I can’t even get out of bed. I have hope now that I will be able to live normally without fear of food. Without being trapped in a food prison. Thank you and thank the Lord!

I am able to eat fresh milled Einkorn and Kamut so far without issue and it is amazing. I didn't think I would be able to eat gluten ever again. It tastes like food! I haven't had anyhting that tastes like real food in a very long time. Instead of craving the things I can't have, I have been craving the bread. I was almost out of food I could eat without getting sick, the next thing we were going to have to resort to was trying to find a safe meal replacement shake. This is Amazing!

The color is coming back to my skin and the acne is reduced by 80%. i have been so fatigued in the past year that getting out of bed was enough to make me cry. Now even when I get tired I don't have to spend the next 1-4 days bouncing back. Just the other day I hand mixed my own loaf of bread. This is the only change in my diet I have done and is has been the best medicine I have ever taken. I am finally losing some weight and measurement. I was 282 lbs before I started eating and now I am 276 lbs, I have NEVER been able to shed ANY weight with any diet or calories. I am going to finally have a life; Even if it takes a year, I will be able to begin living.

I also haven't had a panic attack in a long time, and my anxiety is extremely low. The inflammation in my body has reduced to a point that I am no longer taking pain killers on a consistent basis. I am also finally, slowly but surely, losing weight. I have hope for a life and a future.

An easy way to sour is a "presoak" of 100% of the dough for a day with some added white vinegar. This vinegar could also achieve some of the good and flavour of a sourdough process. The vinegar will bring the dough closer to the PH optimum of wild yeast and there is some research showing that vinegar helps get the energy of carbohydrates from blood into soft tissue where it is used which is particularly useful if you eat a lot of processed or non fiber containing fats which easily and quickly lead to insulin resistance.

I broke my shoulder and wrist over a year ago which forced me to sit quietly. While searching for bread-making videos I stumbled across this one. I am watching this today for a second time while eating warm-from-the-oven, fresh-milled spelt sourdough bread and sipping coffee. I no longer suffer from constipation, no longer have an egg allergy, and after three previous colonoscopies which showed pre-cancerous polyps and diverticulosis, I no longer have either of those. No one in the medical field believes it., even though the colonoscopy proved it. They said it was impossible. Thank you Sue!!!

Praise God! I was forced to retire from ministry by Covid. 16 months worth of long Covid symptoms. But God laid a love of baking on my heart. Actually I’ve Always liked baking but now I need to bake. There is a energy I feel when I work and knead flour and water and yeast for bread. So much so that I want to start baking for others. While researching I found videos by your daughter which led me to you. My croissants are second to none. But more and more I believe I am to bake with flour freshly ground in house. Now I’ve watched a third of this video and I am convicted. The laws in Ct are such that I can’t bake for others where we live and as a retired pastor who always worked with impoverished people and congregations I haven’t the resources. But I’m praying and looking for a way to move forward and follow what I believe is God’s will.

I am a person who has for many years been interested in researching nutrition but anything grain-related I totally ignored. It was bad for you period! And I accepted that. You are a god-send! I've been milling using a MockMill 100 and it has been great. I have been baking 100% Einkorn loaves with no sugar, oil or dairy. I have just finished my store of Einkorn and so have just ordered some malted then heat treated Rye because at £2 a kilo delivered it is £.5 cheaper than Einkorn and the Malting of the Rye lowers the phytic acid to increase the nutritional availability and aid digestion. I would like to get malted Einkorn and think that this could possibly be the king of grains to make bread with.

@BreadBeckers

Hi. Thanks for your comment. This is Tiffany, producer of Sue's Healthy Minutes Podcast. I am answering this from my personal experience. My boys are 17 and 21, and we have been milling grain for 20 years now. We visit the dentist only when needed, and neither one of my boys has never had a cavity. They have both had braces, and both their dentist and orthodontist are always so surprised at their hygiene. They keep telling me that they have never had another patient with their hygiene, and like I said, we don't do regular cleanings and checkups, and their teeth and mouth are always clean and in great shape when we do go. Cavities, like so many other ailments, are connected to gut health. Keeping the good gut bacteria in check is the key to eliminating many health concerns. Thanks for asking.

@grc5618 Two major misconceptions here. Amish people DO get cancer plenty, and a lot of Amish people actually have a shockingly unhealthy diet. Just because they aren’t integrated into mainstream culture doesn’t mean they don’t shop in grocery stores like the rest of us. In fact, because they tend to have large families and are generally thrifty people, they go for the foods that are the cheapest. Which often means devoid of much nutrition. The cheapest bread (yes, plenty of Amish buy bread) white noodles, white rice, white sugar. And not near enough fresh fruits and veggies. Their diet is traditionally very carb and sugar heavy. One thing they have going for them is they are a lot more physically active than the general population. But diseases caused by poor diet run rife amongst the Amish. My grandparents used to be Amish, so I have plenty of Amish relatives, and I have a lot of friends who grew up Amish.

Please hear my heart- it is all grace and love for you! and for any who happen upon this comment I have so much respect as a fellow homeschooler, mama, Christian for you and for the work you're doing. I would like to provide caution that we do not take the verses out of their original context for our own gain. YES- every bit of the Word is for "teaching, rebuking, etc." (1 Tim 3:16) -- however using a verse of the day for what you are hoping it will say is eisegesis instead of exegesis. Looking for what we want it to say, versus what is says. Isaiah 61 is prophecy about Jesus, which He quotes to those rejecting Him in Nazareth. We just have to be careful not to inquire of the Word, "What does this mean to me?"

Very interesting message. Your story is an inspiration and I'll be following your talks to see how I can incorporate healthier eating in my diet. I've always chosen whole grains over the overly processed and nutritionally empty foods that are available in our markets when I could, but also have included many of those processed items. After being diagnosed with diabetes this year, I've revamped almost all my food choices in an effort to eliminate the bad stuff. The results so are are a little more than 50 pounds gone in a year and less inflammation from the arthritis that I've had for a long time. Now that I'm retired, I have the time to do some of my own processing and cooking of whole grain foods at home. Now I just need to work on my adult children so they and their children can reverse the damage that is being done to them by our government's lack of concern for our health.

Sue, what is really going on? Research shows old world fermentation is a key to breaking down the gluten. Thus, most nutritional. Now, you just use plain ole yeast? Why? Your food sale website has organic grain and non-organic, why promote non organic? Are we not worried about pesticides & glyphosate?

A lot of people need to change over slowly. To go straight to all you suggest a LOT of people just won't do it -- while making the simpler changes can grow interest in going further. I started out making sourdough bread with store-bought flour not knowing about all this, and it was very difficult for me even though my enthusiasm level was close to a 10. Being able to use yeast and sometimes getting non-organic (but non-GMO) grain has been a necessity for me just due to lack of funds. Sue did say in this video that there is no GMO wheat grown in the U.S. so glyphosate would not have been used.I still put sourdough starter in all my breads because I really want to get to where I can make it work, but meanwhile I'm adding some yeast so I will DO IT and not leave off of it in frustration as I used to from time to time and time again. I am really, really glad Sue is making getting health approachable especially for those who would feel much too overwhelmed to go "whole hog" into sourdough and then give up like I did.

After much thought about this recently I have come to the same conclusion and will only purchase organic grains from now on. @@AnNa-oy6jf

Very interesting. Most if not all Americans don't know the history of bread. I have mill, whole wheat grain and when I make bread my husband loves it. You've motivated me to be more consistent in providing fresh bread

I know it’s “just” a video on bread, but this video has been a Kairotic moment for me. It has affirmed the normativity (True, Good, Beautiful) of the discipline of empirical observation, primordial orientation to God, and the ontological enchantment of narrative. You have blown a wind into my sails now that I can not now ignore!

I just watched your video over two days - I am new to hand milling and am amazed at the health benefits and better tastes in my baking although much is needed to be learned. Thank you for this video I will be following more, and reading books that you mentioned - you have just opened a brand new world! Question- earlier you mentioned depression and hand milled bread - is there somewhere I can read up on this? My husband has recently been diagnosed with major depression(I've known something was wrong for a long time) I am trying to find out how I can better help him -I know diet has a lot to do with lots of issues - thankyou!

Hi. Thanks so much for asking. We're so glad that you found us! Please take a moment to listen to Sue Becker's podcast, Sue's Healthy Minutes Podcast. I think that you will find much encouragement there as you listen to stories from those who have been able to combat and overcome many things from the nutrients found in the freshly-milled grain. We cannot explain it all, but we know that there has to be a connection.
