These ruins are an absolute must see in Southern Italy. I couldn't believe I had them to myself. This, like my visit to Herculaneum show why it is important to get to sites first thing in the morning. Tour groups usually don't show up for about an hour after a place opens.

Those temples are insanely beautiful, and to be able to enjoy it alone is just magic. So lucky! You also 100% learned about water clocks at the tech museum we visited last year. tsk tsk. ;)

Unfortunately the south italy is not very known for his archeology, and architecture for a bad tourist administration. You can find this and for example many more places like Caserta palace, a giant 700's palace bigger 2 times Versailles.
