I've been listening to Being Scared for over 5 years now. He reminds me of the old 1930 and 40's old radio programs. The only difference is that these are true and intense stories that help me sleep at night. Can somebody explain this? Here we go again!!!! Thanks Being Scared, Mr. Ken

I heard the story about the person under the stairs years ago and haven’t been able to find it since. Thank you for reading it… though it was absolutely heartbreaking to listen to this time since I have two sons myself, one of which is just a baby. That story has haunted me. I actually always make a point to listen to everything my older son says when he is scared because of this story.

From SW Florida, good evening, everyone. Love Being Scareds narration of horror stories. I don't listen to him to fall asleepto, I listen to him because he's 1 of the best narrators. He's up there with (in my opinion) Booze and Boos, The Darkest Hour, Let's Read & Mr. Nightmare to name a few. Being Scared was the 1st channel I subscribed to & I binge listened to the stories he had to catch up, which weren't many at the time. So, I've been here since close to the beginning. Sometimes I'll go through & relisten to his stories because they don't get old.

The fact parents don’t believe their children is upsetting. At least rule out the claims by investigating not just dismissing the child. Sometimes things turn out for the worst because parents don’t believe their children.

As I'm listening to story one it is giving me the creeps and making me feel nauseous. And it makes me even more sick that his parents didn't believe him, or even give him the benefit of the doubt. My parents weren't the best, but I know that if I had told my mother something like this she would have definitely either believed me, or played along as if what I saw was real and found ways to reassure me. They would have let me sleep with them and then they would have found ways to lock the window in the bedroom and show me how no one could get in and out. That kid has loser ass parents

​​@@Noxlion28 even if it was, it would be strange for parents to not at least check the windows and doors, maybe even set up a camera, or install those little metal bits to the windows so it can only be opened a few inches. Literally anything to help the kid feel better. Damn, I mean, BARE MINIMUM just check on the poor kid at night. Because terrible things do happen to children. Grown men taking advantage of kids, especially and authority figure like a teacher, is not unheard of.

I really like the camping story with the boys because I’m a junior in high school and I go camping and do dumb stuff like that. 2 guys I know recently burned down a bridge like idiots. That poor little kid. Why would the parents not believe their child when theyre saying "Hey, a GROWN MAN keeps breaking into my bedroom at night." I'd at least make sure all the windows and doors were locked and start checking on my kid multiple times a night until I had evidence. Set up a camera or LITERALLY ANYTHING helpful. But I guess that's because I had horrible things happen to me when I was a kid, and I didnt tell anyone until I was almost 18 for fear of not being believed or retaliation from my abuser. And a male gym teacher actually tried to get me to kiss him on the cheek once, and thankfully I said no. I can see a teacher creeping on a kid like that.

I listened to other narrators until i dared flipping through i found being scared His brilliant stories gave me the creeps but in the end he helped with my sleeps so I'm gunna say goodnight to all you peeps NIGHT NIGHT GOD BLESS my Rain Brothers and sisters

I love these stories, but thankfully they’re mostly just that, stories. The dead people under the stairs story is so fake I cringed a little. No matter how oblivious a parent might be, there’s no way they didn’t hear that noise, especially since they were downstairs more often than the kid. And there’s no way the police wouldn’t think to check every inch of the house during the investigation. I’m glad it’s fake because it’s a very sad story.
