It would have been extra fun if the ponds froze completely during winter and you could skate on them. And for extra gameplay, add a risk of falling in haha. Maybe you could buy ice pegs and train your sim on getting up from a fall.

@@ThePinkRubber that's a little bit too harsh actually, i mean if the skating sims fell into the pond with broken ice surface, there should be at least a small chance of surviving depending on the cold intesity & physical skill. And beside those, the broken part of the ice surface couldn't be skated so it won't affect the entirety of the pond. Also some additional, Sims should be able to make a hole in the freezing pond to fish; and there's a chance to break the entire frozen surface, making it unable to be skated. And a little bit of detail, Penguin would be able to swim into the cold pond and catch a fish in there, or sliding through the frozen surface with a chance of them slipped

I think they said before it was quite hard doing all the stuff for it so the hairs are shorter length, I can't remember what video it was but I remember someone was explaining that with the long hairstyle from discover university, but that hair is one of my faves because of how long it is I always loved the longer hairs so I understand you, especially the one from get together that's one of my favorites

I just bought Discover University and then they are going to release the hair to basegame!!! I feel cheated. Same thing happened with the parenthood beds. I know its just 2 hairstyles from the pack but it somewhat takes away from the value of the pack. especially when the hairstyle was so heavily advertised in the packs trailers and screenshots.

It’s generally a good idea to remove your mods folder when you get a new update so it doesn’t corrupt the folder when you launch. new updates could actually break your mods folder so bad that you would have to start it from scratch. Just some friendly advice from itsmeTroi.

If you don't have one already, I recommend making a seperate save file that you only use without mods. This will let you play with new features while waiting for mods to update and gives you a clean file to test mods in (as long as you don't save with them).

I've never understood this logic. Discover University has been out for 2 years. We got what we paid for during that time, and most of it wasn't that single hairdo. By this logic, EA owes me $20 for the difference between the base game's release price and the current price. I also expect a refund every time they drop the non-sale price. Edit: I do agree there is a problem with them continuously recycling hairdos from packs for the sake of inclusiveness, but it's not that they're giving pack content away for free. It's that they're telling everyone to share the carrot they already gave us instead of making more new assets.

And even in that case they made the base game hot tub unique so there was still a reason to get the premium ones for form if not for function. But how is giving a single CAS or Build asset away for free any different from that time they gave away the base game for free? Sure, the sale was limited time, but the difference between what those people paid for it on sale and what I paid is huge. Let's break it down. There are approximately 150 items unique to CAS in Discover University. If we assume CAS objects make up the entirety of the pack's $40 price - which they don't - that means that each item is worth... $40/150 items 0.26 a piece. Wow. I want my fifty cents back.

See, I think it's nice that they add more things to the base game, but they're just going for the cheap option of turning paid features into free ones. But for those of us who already had that pack, we only got the one new CAS item instead of three. It was like getting a present we already had. (Two of in this case since one is a recolor.) They absolutely should create more unique assets for these efforts. (As for the ones reused in the bunk bed update, ideally it'd be nice to see bunk/loft equivalents of every single-size bed. But that's not likely.) I just don't think the problem is monetary. It doesn't matter that you paid for it because the worth of those indivual items is negligible, especially when you compare the amount of time most of them had been out to price drops of full packs. We're not getting ripped off because they gave some items away.

First it was the Parenthood bed, now it’s the University hair (the undercut dreads one). Ah yes quallity of models is astonishing, i can count poligons in this duck. Quallity of new content is bad, new things are usually gliched or have poor models and textures. I have a feeling that sims 4 has more glitches and bugs than sims 2 and sims 3 put together

What are your thoughts on the sims team adding things from packs into the base game? Like calendars i feel make sense but at the same time thats the big part of seasons (but without the seasons part ofc) but still like why buy the pack atp.

Personally, I feel like calendars are a great and essential addition to the base game BUT they should've included it in the update along with the release of Seasons back in 2018. Releasing it to the base game after being an exclusive feature for 3 years is just a slap in the face.

For me I think the calendar in the base game is fine because it was shouldve been their in the first place I'm upset about them moving the university hair into base game because they advertised it sm in the university trailer

@@strxnglxdfae414 i agree. It was exclusive to that pack. They should’ve just added new afro textured hair if thats what they wanted. But why would people py for a game just to add features from that game into the public.
