Turns out I'm not that slick, so here are some other stuff toddlers can do in packs that I haven't mentioned in the video (hate myself for this lmao): - Toddlers playing in the sand (this is a base game feature) can actually find seashells, collectibles from Island Living expansion pack. - Werewolf toddlers can savagely bite their toys when playing with them. - Toddlers can sometimes play wave tag on shallow waters in Island Living, but it's something players can't initiate Thanks to everyone that have pointed them out!

I'll also share a secret feature I've found in Island Living: toddlers near shallow water may sometimes chase waves, causing them to run back and forth in the shallow water. It isn't something you can initiate, but rather something that they can automatically decide to do.

Toddlers in Ts4 are so advanced. They can feed themselves give each other attention or talk to the teddy for attention- all you have to do is potty train them so you don’t have to bathe them 24/7. Sleep ANYWHERE and get all their skills up and basically be iPad kids with the little toddler tablet

@@OrangeCat1992 I like toddlers on themselves, but my problem with them is how buggy their gameplay can be. When using the high chair, or sometimes even having to put them to bed almost never works. I like many interactions they've gotten, but adult sims having such a high autonomy to take care of toddlers helps to bug out the game a lot.

I really wish occult toddlers were given special quirks or abilities. In Sims 3 Supernatural, toddler werewolves can howl, witches can make toys disappear and then reappear and vampires can bite the necks of teddy bears.

Werewolf toddlers can howl in TS4 as well but in the Sims 3 they can scratch furniture.

try the "occult toddler quirks" mod! it's not as cool as the ts3 ones sound, but it gives occult toddlers special moodlets depending on what they are and it at least makes them feel a little less like they're just normal toddlers

I feel like they really missed the mark for playfulness in this aspect. it would've been really nice to see some quirky gameplay from them, like toddlers teleporting places , play biting for wolf tots, etc etc.

Hello! In the Get Famous Pack toddlers can "talk to stranger" ever to the celebrity sims. So they can build up a relationship with famous sims and when the green bar is once build, they can normaly talk to the celebraties. That is usefull for some gameplay.

"Talk to strangers" is a regular interaction toddlers can have with any Sim, not just celebrities.

@@The_Hush_Dragon Yes, but Celebritys only talk to toddlers, not to other sims. As a child or adult you can not make friendship with a celebraty. This is something, only toddlers can start.

That you can use the toddler to make friends with the celebrities so you don't have to waste your time trying to get the adults to get lucky with their interactions which is frankly too overblown since 10/10 the Sims always go nuts and can't just be calm saying hello. I'd reject the hello too😒😂.

@@SageArdor The only time I ever saw "attempt introduction" work on a celebrity was when the sim attempting was the newly young-adult Yellow Gen of someone's Not So Berry challenge. I joked that the in-universe explanation was that she was the president's daughter (since her mother was the Rose Gen and had finished the Politician career) but I don't know if the game actually took that into account.

I'll have to say that there are two things from Parenthood section that are actually in base game: toddlers defying sims (with Fussy trait making it happen more) and parent being able to give them talking to (which they automatically do when the toddler throws the food away while in high chair), though the pack does rename it (it used to be Scold or something like that, but this pack changes the name so). Other than that, a great video.

For the Get to Work illness, like adult sims, toddlers can drink Orange juice to mitigate symptoms and speed up recovery from illness. You have to drink more than one OJ, so it’s not as efficient as medicine, but it is possible for toddlers to drink.

Toddlers & Animals (be it pets, chickens etc & werewolves) have THE cutest animations in the whole game 🥰 For now at least, I nearly melted watching the Growing Together trailer where the toddler blew a raspberry on the infants tummy, that was soo cute 🤗

I was so pissed that they launched the game with no toddlers and waited so long to add them, but I do feel like they made up for it in the end. Toddlers in S4 are definitely the best in the series. I actually enjoy playing with them, vs Sims 2 and 3 where I mostly just get their skills out of the way and wait for them to age up. Toddlers are one of the few things in Sims 4 I don't have much negative things I can say about. They're adorable and fun. I want a babysitting/daycare live career like we had in 3 for 4! I'm excited to see what all we get in the new expansion and hopefully their upbringing and experiences have more of an effect on their adult personalities because I do feel like that's a little lacking, having quirks is fun and all but I want lasting effects and more nuance to sims personalities shaped by their lives. Also I want some kind of portable pen or stroller that I can keep infants and pre-walking toddlers in when I bring them to community lots because I feel weird having my sims just put them on the ground lol. I have a feeling the backpack things will only be usable in limitied actions, like walking and talking sure but if your sim is actually interacting with more advanced objects I think they'll probably have to put the babies on the ground which is weird to me lol. Especially in the snow, I can just imagine now...sims just setting their little infants in the snow while they go off to do something lol.

i believe with the education overhaul mod, you can have an in home daycare as a live career :) the ideal mood is playful instead of focused like with other jobs, and it's really cute

Yeah that's one thing I miss from TS3 - toddlers in that game had small things they could do depending on what occult they were. Vampire toddlers would bite the necks of their stuffed bears, werewolf toddlers I think just played with them by putting them in their mouth and shaking their heads (pretty sure TS4 werewolf toddlers do this), and spellcaster toddlers would make the toy they were playing with disappear briefly on accident to name a few lol I don't think there were many, but it really helped with the immersion. I know vampire infants have a special moodlet that adults they bite get. And werewolf newborns howl when they cry sometimes.

Toddler interactions with pets are so adorable in the sims 4, I think the infants will be able to interact with pets as well, I can’t wait to see what they will be able to do. First 9:10 lol that to me isn't so much adorable as it is realistic to how sometimes toddlers IRL are kinda aggressive when interacting with pets, feels like they're hitting them. Good thing the sims team didn't make realistic reactions from the pets like getting away from the toddler or biting/scratching them. Second 17:20... I mean... Maybe bang them with a hammer??? 😏

Yeah, I got so nervous for the baby animals (puppy, kitten, and chick) when I saw the toddlers picking them up. Even though I know the game is coded for that to just be a cute interaction and not for the possibility that the toddler could seriously injure the animal irl.

I wish toddlers had unique supernatural features. For example vampire toddlers could have teething pain and get angry when in the sun for too long, mermaid toddlers could have a unique cute little tail, and spellcaster toddlers could play as a witch/wizard or try casting spells and get a moodlet afterwards that'd be playful and basically say "abra cadabra, mom won't tell me to clean up!" Or something

In Jungle Adventure they can actually get sick!!! Albeit this happened in my game back in 2017 so I don't know if the sims team got rid of it at some point since it's been 6 years. They can't be cured through typical means, but I don't think it kills them? I stopped playing that save file after that happened I believe so I'm not sure if the sickness goes away at some point but I'm sure it doesn't kill them since I don't think you can kill toddlers in any version of the sims.
