BPD is no excuse and I’m sick and tired of that being said. She’s a murderer and it’s not because of the BPD. Scared to share my diagnosis now because of this constant blaming actions on a disorder
@Belle_Ndebeledoll
@Belle_Ndebeledoll 11 ай бұрын
I couldn’t agree with you more. All these excuses of BPD, for those of us on the Dissociative Disorder spectrum, as soon as there is a high profile case and BPD gets thrown around we get painted with the same brush. None of the experts point out that there are patients who have spent years and lots of money in appropriate therapy (DBT), practice mindfulness techniques daily, and take mood stabilizer medication daily and religiously, not just relying on a quick fix. As we mature and age the symptoms also lessen. Another thing to consider is on average the majority of BPD patients commit su**ide and do not harm others. The only thing that these types of cases do is stigmatize all of us, which is really unfair to those of us who have put in the work to be better and heal.
@juliaw107
@juliaw107 11 ай бұрын
100% agree. This woman is throwing around BPD. Not everyone with BPD is violent. This is severely damaging for those who have gotten treatment for BPD. They need to keep these diagnoses out of the equation when talking about a high profile case like this. They attach a very negative stigma to this diagnosis. The problem was Courtney klenney and NOT the disorder. Majority of people who have BPD do NOT act this way. It is troubling to me why no one can correct this woman when she is saying these things that are so damaging. Something that I live by/something that is always in the back of my mind day to day is this: “I am in control of how I react. I can only control my actions.” Learning to regulate emotions and learning to take responsibility for your own actions is so important. BPD didn’t make klenney throw a knife and kill that man. Klenney did that and she knew what she had done.

Well, are you aggressive? Do u beat on your boyfriends? Cuz if you do then maybe it is linked. However, if you don't then your point is made. I think females in general need to start learning that just as it's not ok for a man to hit a woman, it's also not ever OK for a woman to hit a man either. Alot of females think it's OK for them to beat on their male partners, and he's just supposed to keep taking those beatings. Like no. Abuse is abuse no matter the gender. The females of our generation and younger generations need to be raised to learn that it's never ok to hit anyone. Go flipping punch a pillow if you have anger or aggression to get out! Everyone needs to stop with the "woman is always the victim" mentality. Many men are in abusive relationships as well.

That's sad. Now it is too late. The family should have insisted that he leave the relationship, maybe coming back to the parents' home for a while until he is back on his keep. Or make him disappear to some friend or faraway relative for a while. I don't know if they offered this or not: maybe he refused to go, which is quite typical from abused people at relationships. Yeah and there is NO medication for Borderline Personality Disorder either. The only thing that can be done is work on yourself through things like Dialectal Behavior Therapy… and you have to REALLY want to change. Those videos and this story are triggering as hell. Like I’m reliving my nightmare. My ex has BPD and she was extremely abusive too. She used to get upset and punch me or throw things at me or tell me she was going to slit my throat in my sleep. I’d always retreat from her and either leave or lock myself in the bathroom. Next thing I know she’d be gas lighting the hell out of me telling she never hit me and the reason my eye is black was from tripping and bumping it. But just like that guy, I just wanted to appreciate when she was in a good mood so I’d let it go. Truth be told, even though she was abusive i just felt so low about myself that I became co-dependent as hell. It took a lot for me to leave and even more for me to cut off contact completely regardless of how lonely I was feeling. Now looking back I’m eternally grateful that I was able to leave and move on cause I totally could have been him.

I went through a very similar situation and got out after 2.5 years 😔 My ex has BPD and she was EXTREMELY abusive too. Beyond hitting and choking me all the time she would say stuff like “I’ll just slit your throat while you’re asleep” or completely gas light me into thinking I was crazy and that she didn’t hit me(even though I’d have a black eye). I would always retreat to locking myself in the bathroom or leaving the residence in entirety. I never fought back, I really did love her and the last thing I ever wanted to do was hurt her. I never understood how someone could stay in abusive relationships until I seemingly found myself in one. The extreme manipulation that comes with it makes everything so conflated and it’s hard to really see everything when it’s so close to your face. Not only that but most abusers are good at isolating their victims your family and friends too. My respects to anyone who has ever experienced domestic violence 🙏 BTW there is NO medication for Borderline Personality Disorder. The only way to truly treat it is though therapy(specifically Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). There is a book on it called “I hate you, don’t leave me” that explains BPD really well. Thank you for shining light on this!

Ummmm Dr. Sue is off regarding BPD 😅 there’s not such thing as “severe BPD” there’s only BPD and yes what makes this personality disorder so dangerous is the poor impulse control, highly volatile interpersonal relationships, and highly suicide attempts due to the impulsive behavior. Medications help treat the impulses not that “cures” the disorder but when combined with talk therapy mainly DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) help the person suffering to learn how to observe the emotions rather than acting on the emotions. I’ll be your guest next time 😅 I can talk about personality disorders all day long. While I may appreciate her contributions, she’s not a licensed clinician and does not provide psychotherapy. Men who were or even are abuse would not admit about being abused because no one would believe them due to their strength. Other would say their tough and fight back. Respectful men don’t hurt women because they learn from their parent not to hurt them. Also who would believe them? They may be mocked or even hurt for it. Pluse once you leave they will find a way to hurt the men even more by stalking, horrassing them every where and worse even finding a way to get them back into their couch to hurt even more. It’s such a difficult disorder to deal with . I’m sorry you have to deal with it and I’m glad you’re doing well. My husband’s ex wife has it but there is no recovery... even after decades of psychiatric care and tons of meds. She would come up to us and start a fight and try to punch me and my husband at my step kid’s sporting events… 😵‍💫🫣 even multiple arrests and losing custody of her kids didn’t stop her behavior. 😣I hope you continue to do well.

For him to continue to allow her to abuse him so thoroughly means he should have known how she would end him. He more or less asked for it.

Not for nothing but I think for the “experts” to say “get out and surround yourself with good people “ is simplistic and harmful. The reporter thank goodness brought up important points that lead to productive conversation

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON'T THINK EVERY PERSON WITH BORDERLINE PERSONALITY DISORDER IS LIKE THIS! We aren't all like this woman and Amber Heard.

They keep saying "stabbed him to death", but I thought her story was that the knife slipped out of her hand and flew across the room and hit him accidentally?

They had a history of domestic violence and he had a choice to leave for months but he chose not to. Since she has a borderline personality disorder, his family attorney is trying to go after the apartment complex for a payout.

She didn’t want to kill him but she did. She stabbed him because she couldn’t control her anger. She definitely wanted to hurt him, she just took it too far. At the very least this is manslaughter.

Toxic relationships can push people the a level. A dangerous one . I saw many videos of them fighting about cheating. She said he was constantly cheating . And he was said to be gaslighting her and sending her down a mental health spiral. . They both abused each other apparently. Very sad.

This is a bogus lawsuit, Christian did nothing to protect himself from her. Cuz he keeps forgiving her. The only person responsible for this is the woman who is already being charged.

Dang it! I just promised my husband I would not let myself get wrapped up in another trial, after the Dan Markel murder trials! But hold my beer on this one!

You better clarify, to that man, that the Dan Markel trials are not over!🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 And ? IDK...... specifically & simultaniously add this to the mix, (say it like, super speedy fast), w/a cough, (cover your mouth😂), "Andtheonlyfansmodelone"! Let him hold your beer, (&drink it🍺🍻🥃🍻😂), BEFORE submitting the updated info to him. 🤣😂🤣😂😎😎😎 If that don't work? Just admit that you have a problem & tell him that you are going to counseling & the therapist recommends that you decrease your dosages of court trials slowly, over time, (insert only fans trial date here), because stopping cold turkey can cause you to uncontrollably, 'act out' & develop a resentment which can lead you to criminal behaviors because you were compressed in your marriage by a partner who ignorantly intervened by controlling your trials & threw your defense arguments in the trash! He gotta leave that therapy to the pros! (Remind him that court t.v. has them on the panel too)! 💪💪💪💪💃💃💃💃😂🤣😂🤣😂😏
