Why are the officers being so accommodating? The father is cussing at them. That's usually considered hostile. I think the cop, is brown nosing, why? They may as well go have a drink, while they are waiting, and a lobster tail. I heard the video of the father, laughing a devious laugh, when he cracked the password to Christians computer. I heard the lawyer advise him, to not go any farther with what he was doing. I'm assuming because it's illegal, and should be a felony, if it's for sinister reasons.

The other thing is taking their phones, then asking for the passwords. If they had a search warrant for the phones, they wouldn't need the password. They were just hoping they'd give it up voluntarily to help aid in their own investigation.

I'm curious, wouldn't you have an attitude if you were arrested for something like this? After finding a laptop, they had a group chat with their daughters lawyer who told them to try some specific passwords to unlock it, but not look at the files. They then handed the laptop over to the lawyer. A few months later the Miami police show up arresting them for felony hacking. I don't know about you, but that would make me a little angry too.

Cops will say all kinds of things to get you to incriminate yourself. The cop who was nice got the guy talking. The cop who was professional but not particularly friendly got shut down. Haven't you seen cops tell murderers things like "we know you're not a bad guy" or "of you tell us that the person was trying to hurt you and you just defended yourself, we would get that" Come on.

There should be a separate one for people who don’t have criminal backgrounds or maybe a separate system for people who voluntarily go for help. But then the ones they send people with criminal history to or forced treatment would become even worse with no witnesses. It’s almost like we shouldn’t lock people up for having illnesses.
